ProcessTheTrust
Maybe all the people who vowed to not watch waited till after kickoff to tune in thinking they wouldn't count in the ratings?

Probably even fewer give a P*ts **** that you don't care that Frank Reich got a ring. And did not watch one snap of game.

Just Jack
Philly probably had more groups viewing than individual households hence the lower number.

frostbitmic
I saw one fewer play in this years super bowl than last years, which was one play. But considering that the Eagles won, I'll watch the replay on the NFL network which I didn't do last year. I went to the casino yesterday but it was easy to tell who scored. When the Eagles scored a loud cheer was heard. When the patriots scored all you heard was boos.
Cruiserplayer
Buffalos ratings are higher because: Who wants to have Another super bowl party where NE might win? Everyone is watching at their home. I’m in the southeast and I would prefer to celebrate or cuss without the the possibility of popping some bandwagon dude upside the head. Fadingpain
We always set viewing records for NHL games on NBC Sports Network too, which is part of the reason why the Sabres usually get more than their fair share of those games. NBC knows their best ratings come from WNYers watching the Sabres.

Big Turk
Is it really any surprise? We are always one of the top markets for the NHL playoffs too...and that doesnt even include the people watching the Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts... Basically we are the best sports city in the country.

Doc Brown
Pittsburgh and Seattle also make the list. Hatred of a team seems to drive up the ratings.
