He’s got to be a 7.2 forty at this point, held together by duct tape and coming off a head injury Jokes (and serious comments) about him being a caveman aside— I could see him being a guy that gets that there’s something beyond football Based on his comments I think there is no doubt he is seriously considering retirement. Whether or not he will retire, who knows! Maybe Gronk doesn't even know himself, at least yet.

Which is a weird thing to say unless it is true. I was wondering how that bit of information is floating around. Maybe Gronk mentioned this in some interview somewhere? Media has reported this about Gronk and Marshaw Lynch multiple times. They may not come off as the smartest guys in the world but that is genius management of money by any standard even if it is not "100%" accurate. Edited February 5, 2018 by cba fan

He has some amazing things to add to our current understanding of string theory. In Gronk's world, string theory means playing around with a loose thread on your game jersey while not knowing how you can get rid of it. Thus creating multiple theories on how to solve the problem, like: 1) Burn it with fire 2) Smash it with a big rock 3) Hide the jersey and say it was lost

But how much money do you have to spend for a rubber mallet to club your forehead, some beef jerky and a case of Keystone Light.

Gronk, like Marshawn Lynch, has reportedly saved every single penny he's earned from his contracts. He lives on his endorsement money. He may look, talk and act like a caveman, but he's not a total fool.

richardb1952 Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 I like Gronk minus the hit on TW. He has taken some big hits and has had some painful back problems. I can certainly understand getting out while he has the opportunity to lead a less painful retirement. I am sure he will have opportunities to make a good living after football. Being able to have your health and be able to enjoy your life without additional pain has to be something he should seriously consider.
