duey
Donating a pint of blood is a very inexpensive and easy way to be charitable to your fellow man. It's truly amazing how few people actually do this, and as a result, how bad off the nations whole blood supply is. Come on TSWers...take an hour every couple months and make a difference! marck
I am a AB+ blood type so I try and contribute as often as possible, at least four times per year. Hope everyone else does so also. Especially those with - RH factors which are really rare.
R. Rich
I used to donate regularly, when I still lived in Erie. I donated a few times since I've moved to Maryland, but not very often.

I was exposed to TB, so they no longer take mine, and my Mom cant give either because of some trip she took when she was younger (Africa I believe). Fezmid
I have an adverse phobia of needles. Hate 'em. I wouldn't be able to sit in the chair while they pulled the blood from me. My dad, on the other hand, has donated pretty much every time he's been eligable since he was 18! He's given something like 5 or 6 GALLONS of blood and has lots of gold pins from the Red Cross that he's very proud of. I figure he donates enough for both of us CW

The best way to recover from giving blood is to get up as soon as they take out the needle, and drink an ice cold beer. By golly, you'll be right as rain in no time. OTOH, Men who have had sexual contact with other men since 1977 The pretty much rules out the entire San Francisco area.

At UB, my friends and I would donate, and then head over to PJ's and get lit on two bears.
Campy
My wife is much better (and more frequent) blood donor than I am. She goes out of her way to hit the blood drives when she gets that little card in the mail. Me, on the otherhand, will donate if I'm there and they're there, but I don't go out of my way to do it - Which after typing that, I realize just how bad that sounds... Either way, those needles really bother me...
