This is probably the BEST breakdown of Lamar Jackson I've seen yet!! If this doesn't convince the skeptics of the potential of this dynamic player, then I don't know what else to show you.

Question:

is Tyrod Taylor dynamic?

Look at those legs, he will be on IR faster then Watson was his first season for sure.

The last two seasons, Lamar Jackson had 839 pass attempts, credited with 492 rushes and sacked 75 times (1406 total) . As far as I could tell, he didn’t miss one snap to injury. No matter their size, weight, speed or allusiveness every QB in college and NFL gets dinged, but so far, LJ has yet to look “injury prone.”

Our friends at Cover 1 did more breakdown of Lamar's game on their podcast. This is for all the posters that think he's primarily a "running" QB and for the others that think he's not "cerebral" enough or " can't read defenses". Erik also mentions the comparisons that some make of him and Tyrod and states that he's a BETTER passer than Tyrod already. You will have to go through the McGlinchy breakdown first though. Enjoy.

Reid scoffs at idea Lamar Jackson shouldn't be QB

INDIANAPOLIS -- Andy Reid is not among those entertaining the idea of a position change for Lamar Jackson.

The Chiefs coach took the podium at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday and sarcastically dismissed the idea that the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner would be best served by ditching quarterback in favor of a different position at the next level.

Not a Jackson hater, but I don't think he's the direction the bills go in. We have been using the dual threat QB and I think it's obvious the management wants to steer away from tyrod and his style. I'd be very surprised if they go with another dual threat, especially when I honestly think tyrod is arguably the most athletic qb in the NFL and I don't think you get much better scrambling/rushing out of a qb. I don't think management is willing to take the risk on a new and improved dual threat and have him bust when tyrod was already in the building. If the bills go for a QB it will be a big arm pocket passer, or Mayfield who has some quick feet.

He can be.  But as a college passer, he wasn't asked to do anything much in the way of reading coverage or making progressions and I think he's still struggling with that.  He doesn't trust what he sees, so he holds his fire.

To my eyes and some scouting films, Jackson is way further ahead on this though of course with any QB it's a gamble will it translate to NFL game speed.

I expect if that if Lamar's knowledge is for real, it will come through in interviews, and he'll be drafted accordingly

I don't either.  I think Beane has been very explicit about wanting a guy who can operate as a pocket passer.    That said, I think Beane has in mind who and what he wants at this point, and who and what he'll give up to get him.  I would expect Jackson to be a ways down on his list, well behind Rosen, Mayfield, Darnold, and possibly Rudolph, all of whom I see as more polished passers.   I wouldn't see us moving up to take Rudolph or Jackson.  Maybe down?

I wouldn't mind if the Bills draft Jackson, provided they commit to developing him as he is and not trying to make him something he isn't.  I really hope we're not part of the Allen love, though.

Id be prepared for it. I can easily see a trade for him. After Wentz proved taking a gamble on a small school QB can be a great idea. He's got a huge arm and is at home in the snow. Im sure beane has him in his sights.
