Best guess is there was a publishing snafu.  The memo was released as "embargoed" to the press, and some idiot ran with the story ahead of publication, so everyone jumped on board.  Kind of like the Wood injury news snowballed on Friday.  Give it an hour or so for the PR to appear.

Could be.

But again, it's doubtful.

Why?

Wray saw the memo SUNDAY and said it was accurate. Now he's going to release a nebulous statement saying otherwise?

Something doesn't add up. You want to trust the media. I say that's foolish considering how spotty they've been on this very issue. We'll see who's right eventually.

That's why I said, somebody is lying, upthread.   But I doubt that the FBI release is made up.

And here it is.

I never said the statement was false. I said they were wrongly attributing it as a Bureau release when it's clearly not. Hence my Wegman's analogy.

The liars are in the MSM who are following marching orders to defang the memo before it hits. Their lies are subtle, but still lies.

Because half the people reading the headlines aren't aware of the issue we're discussing.

Again, if this was an official FBI statement, where is it? That's evidence that these journos are lying about where this statement is coming from.

https://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel

There's no official statement there on McCabe's leaving, either.  So I wouldn't consider that link the authoritative source for official FBI statements.

Not everything is a shadowy conspiracy.

Don't count your chickens yet.

Again, this contradicts directly with Wray's statements Monday. Someone is pulling a fast one.

There were multiple published releases on McCabe though.

If Trump and traitor Nunez are going to go this far to get Carter Page's conversations with Russians suppressed there must be something they don't want us to hear!

#releasethe CarterTalks!!!

I want to interrupt this discussion to let you know I have been avoiding message boards because of work and reality,  but come back here on occasion for things like the left melting down over last night's SOTU, and it's good to see you are still posting conspiracy with a fervor that rivals a 14-year-old home alone for the night who just discovered that 12345 is ridiculously the password his parents used to block the porn channels.

Food for thought.

Unless they hacked into FBI's internal document servers, those meta tags are useless in establishing the true timeline.

Again, it's customary for an organization to embargo a big press release with the media well ahead of formal publication.  In this case, some idiot ran with the embargoed story.
