Wray already said it was legit. But considering the news currently going around claims by inference that Wray claims it's misleading, does he at this point actually decide to have a statement put out that it's not? I would expect a statement of some kind. It's a deliberate, coordinated attempt by MSM paid operators to taint the memo before it's released. They're lying to you in order to do so. People are not falling for it though. The old tricks aren't working. Hence the panic we are seeing. This is only going to get worse for those folks. What are we learning with all this discovery? That cabals of powerful people abusing their powers are real. It doesn't take teams of people to spread fake news. It takes but a few strategically placed people to get the cycle going. Then it's an echo chamber of reporters reporting on what others reported on without doing the sourcing. You have to be blind not to see it now. Those "high editorial standards" have always been subservient to the whims of their USIC sources. Remember, this isn't about right versus left, dem versus rep, conservative v liberal. It's about exposing corruption that exists on BOTH sides of the aisle in heritage institutions that claim to be above such nonsense. It's systemic. I'm questioning your assertion that the statement didn't come from the agency. Even though there's no public release, it appears the statement did come from the agency, and that's why everyone is referencing the agency/bureau. Why did Nunes have to issue his own statement if it was just a bunch of employees?

Guess not: The statement came from SOMEONE in the FBI, but it's being passed off as an official FBI statement without sourcing it. That's a problem. And a lie. If it wasn't a lie, they could EASILY prove it. Yet, they haven't. Why? Because the story is not accurate. No statement exists on the FBI website. No statement exists on any DOJ website. No letterhead was shown in any of the reporting. It's SPIN. Designed to weaken the memo before it's released. And outlets are following their marching orders. And it wasn't a "bunch of employees" it was one (probably). The AP is clarifying saying the words came from Wray. Wray disagrees. Tiberius
Anyone trying to say this is all media spin is either a complete idiot or is being paid to peddle propaganda on our website. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/31/us/politics/fbi-director-republicans-secret-memo.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=first-column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news Quote The “F.B.I. was provided a limited opportunity to review this memo the day before the committee voted to release it,” the bureau said in a statement. “As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo’s accuracy.” Though Mr. Wray’s name was not attached to the statement, the high-profile comment by the F.B.I. thrust him into a confrontation with President Trump, who abruptly fired his predecessor, James B. Comey. Mr. Trump wants to see the memo released, telling people close to him that he believes it makes the case that F.B.I. and Justice Department officials acted inappropriately when they sought the highly classified warrant in October 2016 on the campaign adviser, Carter Page. Deranged Rhino
Wray read the memo Sunday, with two other DOJ/FBI officials. They agreed it was accurate and had no classification issues. McCabe was ousted the next day. That was THREE DAYS ago. Now we're supposed to believe this unsourced and unverified statement from the FBI? Think for yourselves, people. This is a game. And they're losing. Badly. Should be REAL easy to publish that statement... Now it's "almost certainly" to have been signed off by Wray.

The memo was released as "embargoed" to the press, and some idiot ran with the story ahead of publication, so everyone jumped on board. Kind of like the Wood injury news snowballed on Friday. Give it an hour or so for the PR to appear.
