SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 I’m concerned that he’s concerned Just now, Doc said: And yet Al Rivmoron is returning next year. Was he given a vote of confidence?

Afraid of the lawsuit I want to file

Freddie's Dead Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 The KB "non-catch" will fix the catch rule, just like "just give it to 'em" brought back instant replay.
transient Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Is anyone else concerned that with all this concern that Roger Goodell or Colin Cowherd, or possibly concerningly both, are actually SaviorPeterman?

Changing the catch rule would certainly require a “high level business meeting”, so yes I am.

reddogblitz Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 After the 2015 season, they had a 6 person committee and they just made it worse. You're gonna need a bigger committee.
NastyNateSoldiers Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Damn it man everyone in the world knows what a catch is except for the NFL. Hey Goodell just go watch some kids play some football at a park or something you will get it then.
BeginnersMind Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 You have to survive going to the ground. Seems easy to understand. People just don’t like it.
Jasovon Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Any rule change is utterly irrelevant unless enforced fairly. Most people actually don't mind the catch rule it's the way that a catch for some teams is a drop for others. It is currently used as a way of getting the Patriots* to the Superbowl swinging at least 3 games from losses to wins for them this year, sounds like it's working as intended?

Edit...damm, he looks almost as saintly as Marrone in that top pic. every sport is damaged by overuse of replay football is the least of it
26CornerBlitz Posted January 31, 2018 Author Posted January 31, 2018 Goodell: It's time to 'start over again' on catch rule On Wednesday ahead of Super Bowl LII, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell discussed how the league plans to address and potentially change its catch rule.

BigdaddyinOrlando Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 Yeah thanks Rog, only after your paycheck budddy Kraft has won or had three game alternating plays go in their favor this year that you want to correct it! Whatever, you are and will always be a highly paid stoog! Driving many of us slowly away unfortunately!

By now we should be used to it being a hassle over every alleged reception unless the man does a ten second chorus line dance with 5 teammates, gets a Sharpie to autograph the ball, never letting the ball go until he emulates crapping the ball onto the field after all that. I don’t have a problem with hard enforcement on control for a reception. I would accept that a receiver at some point becomes a runner with the ball, as they have deemed a QB becomes a runner under certain parameters.
MrEpsYtown Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 The problem is Al Riveron looking for any reason to overturn a call. It's supposed to be clear and obvious, not the two hours micromanaging and greatly affecting games. That guy is an idiot. For the the most part the refs get it right. When they clearly get it wrong it's easy. What Riveron was doing this year is inexcuseable. Replay is the problem, not catches Not sure why every other sport can get this right but the NFL can't.
