Academics are so scared of being called “racist” that they’re complete pushovers on the topic. Absolutely ridiculous. Also, it takes away from real issues. There are social justice issues in this country. That’s a fact. Playing Esmeralda don’t freaking count as one, and taking a stand on a petty issue really takes away from the important issues.
