I respectfully disagree...as Eric added another child to his family after the season. I'm going to miss him, but I hope in enjoys the hell out of the rest of his life.
Big Turk Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Man that really sucks...Wood was a quality person first and foremost and a good football player secondarily. He will be missed on the OLine but at least for the Bills it was getting time to make a move there within the next year or two...this just hastened it a little bit. Groy played very well there in his absence 2 years ago, Bills would be wise to give him a look
YoloinOhio Posted January 26, 2018 Author Posted January 26, 2018 I think he would be great in the media, if it is something he ever wanted to do. Well spoken, intelligent and funny.
Chuck Wagon Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Wow. Just wow. Hopefully he can move on with a normal healthy life.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Providing he is ok...new co-host for the John Murphy show?

Ugh, sucks for Eric as he was a total team player. Glad he got to taste the playoffs before it was over.
John from Riverside Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 It is a bit of a shock because nothing was made mention of it during the game. Eric Wood to the both with John Murphy?

Would be really good imo but not sure he would want to live in Buffalo year-round if he wasn’t playing. He does own a home there but lives in Louisville in the offseason, Family is in Cincy.
BobChalmers Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Wood had some pretty bad injuries through his career and kept plugging - I'm glad he got to experience getting into the playoffs! 1
Buffalo_Gal Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 (edited) Poor man. Let's hope it only impacts his football career and not his entire life. Edited January 26, 2018 by Buffalo_Gal
transplantbillsfan Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Really? That sucks! On top of being basically next in line behind Kyle as one of our team leaders, he just seems like a good dude. Hope he can live functionally the rest of his life. Soooo.... is Groy now our center or are we drafting one high?
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 man, this really sucks. hate it for the young man. hopefully he can still manage to lead a normal life. thanks for all you brought to the field and off the field eric. #thankyou70

This is probably the likeliest scenario. That's how Zay Jones's labrum injury was found. Bummer for Wood, man. Team leader and an all around good dude. My cousin did PR with the Bills during Wood's rookie year and said Wood would always take people out to dinner after an appearance or event. Said he is just a really easygoing guy with no ego at all.
