Billsman623 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Our sources that have led us here have informed us it's a career ending neck injury and the player is former Louisville Cardinal and current @BuffaloBills center Eric Wood. Our heart goes out to him, his family and former and current teammates. @GoCards #L1C4 #BillsMafia

K D Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 this is very sad. great leader and very good player. as far as impacting us next year this is not season altering. Groy will step in and be a very capable starter. I'm glad Wood got to play in a playoff game.
rafter Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Solid person. Great teammate that locked down a position that was in flux for years before he arrived. I hope it's just limited to football and his life is unaffected.
GG Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Best wishes for a non life threatening condition and full recovery 2
CaptnCoke11 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Hopefully Something Eric can live a normal life with just can’t take the hits anymore. Thoughts are with him and his family.

Wayne Cubed Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Wonder if he was having a post season medical evaluation and they found something
GunnerBill Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Awful for Eric and his family. Secondary concern is that the Bills have depth at the position and from that perspective doesn't hurt. 1
Kirby Jackson Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Heart goes out to Eric Wood and his family. The guy has been a warrior for the Bills for a long time. Hopefully he and his family can have a long and healthy life. 1
dollars 2 donuts Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 (edited) Ya know what though...he has some coin, doesn't have to knock heads and put himself at risk anymore...and apparently (hopefully) can simply walk away from the game and start the next phase of his life with a beautiful family. In a way...good for him. Edited January 26, 2018 by dollars 2 donuts
JoeF Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Praying for EWood and Family. God bless...Hope this does not cause a permanent disability in any way.
bills_fan Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Damn. Hes been my fav player on the team since we drafted him. I wear his jersey every game
JohnBonhamRocks Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 (edited) "It was undeniably a memorable run for the Bills, but ultimately inconsistencies on offense stalled out the season. Nobody knows better than Buffalo’s center, Eric Wood, who played in 100-percent of the team’s offensive snaps this season." Just remembered reading this on BB.com and thinking "Wow, what a jinx." Hope he and his family are doing as best as they can. Edited January 26, 2018 by JohnBonhamRocks

It wouldn't surprise me if he has a long career as a football analyst if he wants that.
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Never like to hear this kind of thing. I hope moving forward that he and his family are fine!
HappyDays Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Not to be that guy but this definitely does not ruin the offseason, whoever told Jeremy White that was exaggerating

HansLanda Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 I just hope it's not a debilitating issue for simply living life. Neck issues are scary.
