Objectively, you remove Tyrod from the team, we don't make the playoffs.

I want Tyrod to be replaced, but the amount of disrespect for a guy who gave it all for our team and city for three straight years through all the hate and injuries, it's pathetic.

Look I think 3 point games are pathetic. It doesn't even matter we made the playoffs if that was the outcome realistically. It's not like it was all locked up. Not like we stroll into the playoffs comfortable. I remember being on the edge of my seat hoping for a miracle for a little bragging rights. Then we score 3 points and I don't feel like bragging about that. If not for a miracle play by Andy Dalton you can't even say what your saying. The Miami game almost slipped away.

Anyway I respect Tyrod but man come to Jesus on this one.

With the return of the XFL, Tyrod's future as a starting QB may finally be cemented.

I find myself wondering what the name on the back of his jersey will be, so I thought we could help him with some ideas.

Is this thread worth a bump when Taylor starts for an NFL team next year, and the year after that?

Just because you start doesnt mean you are good

One game I threw a pair of TD bombs over 70 yards and the fans took five minutes before complaining the D had to get back on the field so quickly

Alternate Truth?  Two 70 yard bombs, or two 30 yard passes with 40 yard yac's

thanks for the inspiration

I did it twice, I am great!!!

I don't know how it could be the latter. Everybody knows Tyrod doesn't allow his receivers to run after the catch...

I don't know how it could be the prior.  Had TT ever thrown a pass that long?

I see 84  in '16   was that once ? and how much of the 80 was the yac?

Only in Buffalo do fans whine about and rip to shreds 2 70+ yard TDs in a single game....

So why does he give up on things that work?    It can't all be on the three different OC's.   This is a pattern we have seen in 15, 16 and 17.

I don't understand what you're referring to. In 2015 and 2016 the Bills led all teams in explosive plays. In 2015 there were more explosive passes than in 2016, partly because Watkins only played 8 games in 2016 vs 13 in 2015. In 2017 we removed every viable deep threat from our roster. Obviously the deep passes went away.

please clarify   -  is this the JETS game they lost?

What I was trying to discuss is - how far was the pass and how many yards were after the catch?   aka    yac

A 70 to 80 yard TD play that has a 40 yard pass and a 40 yard run  is not what you posted.

Link please.    never mind

2016  - Most Explosive Passing plays  FIFTH from the bottom of the league.

So I guess I need to ask  WHY was Roman fired?   The offense clearly regressed w/o him.

It was and always has been the Running Game and not the passing game!!!

Shady, please try to read the whole thing before going on awful tangents.

Here's what I said that YOU bolded.

Now, unless everything I've learned about rankings is incorrect your findings imply that there were more explosive passing plays in 2015 (when we ranked 12th) than in 2016 (where we were 5th from the bottom.

I hypothesized that the downward trend may be correlated to Sammy Watkins, who played 13 games in 2015, 8 in 2016 (on a broken foot), and 0 in 2017.

The offense did not regress without Roman. They scored more points and a higher percentage of TDs after he was fired. The big passes went down, but there were multiple factors there - primarily being the availability of receivers. As I have stated in numerous threads, Roman was fired because he was awful in preparation leading to poor execution due to lack of quality reps.

Also, you might want to look at explosive plays by player, as many of the explosive runs did not come from the RB position. Note, I said many, not most. Do not twist my words to fit your illogical narrative.

a) When did passes not equal passing?

b) where did I disagree with your 2015 vs 2016 comment?

Most explosive plays was what I looked up.

I clearly and correctly stated that the Running game was the feature of the offense.  Look at the data I posted.

2015 was better than 2016   ... again.       Why Fire Roman?

Shady, passing plays are passes. Seriously, what are you on about?

I clearly and correctly stated that we had more big passes in 2015 than 2016. Unless you believe 32<23...
