PirateHookerMD Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 I remember when David Lee was a hot QB coach score. Worked out great. 1

Formerly Allan in MD Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 A lot goes into becoming well-regarded, including what you have to work with.
The BLUES Brothers Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Wonder if a guy like this (available/looking for a gig) goes to the Senior Bowl on his own to get familiar with the QB prospects and rub elbows with the Coaches...
MiltonWaddams Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Based on his work with Stafford, I can't say I'd hate to see him on the staff. I'm finding it odd that the entire offensive staff outside of Rico has remained in place. Is that not the same thing they did to Rico? If you want a OC, who is very much going to be running his own offence, to succeed, should you not let him put a staff in place that aligns with his offensive strategy?
MrEpsYtown Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 I think he's a good coach, I'm definitely down if he brings his dad Bill with him to coach the offensive line

Fadingpain Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 I still say Romo would be a heck of a QB whisperer as "special advisor" to the team. Not sure he has any interest in that whatsoever though.

BrooklynBills Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Patricia is going to trade him to McDaniels. Wonder what Patricia will get in return.

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Show me a guy who has worked with a bad qb and made him much better. Not a guy who works with a top 10 qb and stays out of his way. I would say off the top of my head Blane Gabbert was a guy left for dead and has gotten much better. Alex Smith at first wasn’t anywhere near what he became. Goff, Cousins, maybe even Tannihill. Those are guys that looked lost at first and got much better. Give me one of the guys who helped in that process. A lot of it is just natural progression, but some of those guys were into the league for a bit before someone helped turn the light on.

For sure! I have a friend that is an NFL coach and one season he was fired along with the head coach and other coaches, so he went to the Senior Bowl just to network etc... 1
HOUSE Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Dave Culley is a good friend of mine, over 20 years now. Hasn't been fired YET.

I don’t really expect him to be fired. But, based on his background (WR coach , and AHC in KC) and future goals (HC) I could see him getting a title adjustment (such as AHC, Offense) and bringing in another QB coach such as Ken Dorsey.
