Bing Bong Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 He's been awesome this game. Granted it's a blowout. Not complaining about anything just happy for the guy.. ok, complaining a little not a fan of the trade.
JerseyBills Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Basically got Darby for Benjamin. Matthews will move on. But also the reason we got Gaines who I anticipate we'll re-sign. I'd rank White/Gaines/Hyde/Poyer a top 3 secondary and all are young! They are going to be even better with the inevitable influx of talent in the front 7. The Darby trade doesn't bother me one bit , obviously wasn't a fit for this scheme, and McD knows his secondary. 1
Paul Costa Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Bills made the Playoffs and weren’t making the SB because Darby , Watkins or Dareus were on the roster. Trust The Process and enjoy the ride ? 2
Mopreme Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 (edited) I never liked the Darby trade. Edited January 22, 2018 by Mopreme
Doc Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 More like Case Keenum regressed back to...well, Case Keenum. And the Eagles have made the SB without Wentz or Jason Peters. 1
jimmy10 Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Sometimes trades are good for both sides. This was one of those times. 3
Big Turk Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Sometimes players are different people depending on if they are winning or losing. A player who is a great teammate on a winning team can be a crappy teammate on a losing team. Plus they felt he was suited for more man to man type coverage than zone. We aren't always going to like the moves they make. If you look at them in a vaccuum they might not make much sense. They aren't building a team in a vaccuum however. They have a plan and anyone who isn't in their plans is not going to be here, whether we like it or not.
Da webster guy Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Darby still had life on his rookie contract, weird move. Philly without Wentz is boring to me. Hope they win tho.

He basically shut down Julio Jones (basically, not totally) without help. Julio usually demands double coverage. Darby has played well in every game I've seen him play in this year. But he evidently wasn't buying into the "new administration" and was not a scheme fit according to Peter King - http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/08/ronald_darby_didnt_buy_into_buffalo_bills_new_administration_says_peter_king.html.

Buffalo Bills Fan Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Someone is not trusting the process!
Schmuggs Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 We got !@#$ing jordon Matthews for a second round budding star. Beane has no clue wtf he is doing.

They do a good job in terms of keeping points of the board, which is clearly the most significant, but even that they trail the Vikings. It is not so much about the Pats being a bad defense, which they aren't, statistically average, but not bad. It is that Minnesota is a lot better.
Sig1Hunter Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Pretty sure Darby was not viewed as a good scheme fit here. Good for him, and all ex Bills that are no longer on the roster and doing well. Just because they are doing well doesn't mean it wasn't the right move. The constant gnashing of teeth over guys that are no longer here is tiresome (and pointless).
