The Frankish Reich Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 5 years, $27.5 million with certain incentives and "escalators" that could add another $11 million. So if he performs well, the top end is 38.5 million. And if he performs poorly, it is essentially voidable by the Eagles after 2 years. Tyrod: 2 years, $30.5 million. And he is obviously a better fit for the Dennison offense than Tyrod was. For those of you who'd say, "where we you when he was a free agent" - I was right here, suggesting that Foles was far and away the best "bridge" QB free agent out there .... 3
Real McClappy Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 (edited) I could be alright with Foles as a Bridge if we draft a 1st rd QB in this years draft. Edited January 22, 2018 by Real McCoy 1
Roundybout Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Rams gave it a shot and we saw how well that turned out. That 7 touchdown extravaganza is long gone, even with as well as he is playing today. 1

Problem is, it's too late now. The Eagles have him for certain for at least one more year, and with Wentz's recovery timetable uncertain, no way he's going anywhere. It just kills me to watch a team with a better backup than our starter. 2

Check. EDIT: This is not the "I love Nick Foles" thread. I just think we missed an opportunity for a reasonably priced upgrade. And I am legitimately puzzled as to why we never even heard of any Bills' interest in Foles last offseason. Edited January 22, 2018 by The Frankish Reich 1
Real McClappy Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Viks have 3 and we can't get one God that line brought me here again LMAO everytime 1
BringBackOrton Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 (edited) Because Tyrod is our QB. And he puts a magic spell on his own coaches that make them all fire OC's for not making him perfect. Edited January 22, 2018 by jmc12290 1
26CornerBlitz Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Nick Foles played like crap other than his one great year under Chip Kelly and he contemplated retirement. He's in a great offense with excellent personnel at WR, TE, and RB.

You're in the "don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good" territory here ...

oldmanfan Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 He's playing well so far tonight. Blind squirrels find acorns on occasion. 1

NoSaint Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 On his good days he looks good on his bad days he looks bad he has a few too many bad its not a complicated discussion, simply that you can’t just take him at his best and expect it consistently

Now you're just arguing for the sake of arguing. You'll grant me this I hope: Nick Foles is at least as good an NFL QB as Tyrod Taylor. And he was considerably cheaper. 1
The Frankish Reich Posted January 22, 2018 Author Posted January 22, 2018 Here's what people forget: he was this good for an entire season. Everyone wrote that off as a Chip Kelly phenomenon. But not everyone was this good under Chip Kelly. 2 1
