Rigotz Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 I'm surprised to see fans clamoring for Alex Smith when there's a 25 year old QB out there who threw for 3,000 yards and made the pro bowl within his first two seasons. Oh, and if his contract isn't tolled, he doesn't cost us the 2nd round or 3rd round pick that we would have to give up for Alex Smith. Higher upside... we get to keep ALL of our picks ....why is nobody talking about Teddy Bridgewater? 1
John from Riverside Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 So Bridgewater is not under contract with the vikings?
I'm Spartacus Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 I'm thinking his severe injury should have forced him to retire, it was that bad. If he had an amazing rehab this past year, and get back to form we should bring him in for a look-see. 1
Bangarang Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Throwing for 3000 yards and making the Pro Bowl as an alternate isn’t impressive. His knee exploded a year ago so if he’s cheap and healthy then sure go for it. He can compete.
ghostwriter Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 I've talked about him, I'd like it. He could compete for a starting spot, draft a QB high and let them battle it out. 1

LeGOATski Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 He's my favorite possibility vet. But I don't want them bringing in any vet. Draft their guy and start him day 1 or incorporate him in slowly behind Peterman. I'm willing to ride the waves while they develop their guy. 2
Mrbojanglezs Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Kirk Cousins is my first choice. Bridgewater is my second choice. 2

The bottom line--he is a younger, more fragile TT, but infinitely less mobile.
Misterbluesky Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 This move would be a no brained if he does get released. However because of the risk factor I would bet Taylor would get another year.
jr1 Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Teddy's career high is 14 TD isn't the main criticism of Tyrod he doesn't throw more TD?
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Bridgewater is not even better then Tyrod. Not interested unless it’s a cheap last resort. 1 2
DC Tom Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 May as well bring in RGIII in, as well. Maybe Robert Edwards is still interested in playing.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 With all the cadavers in the Minni missing their knee ligaments...no thanks. Same for Bradford, IMO. Both an awkward fall away from amputation. 1
Call_Of_Ktulu Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 I would rather hope for AJ McCarron to be a FA or trade a 3rd rd pick for McCarron I could see McCarron passing for 26 TD's and 3,900 yards with 12 INT's easily. 1

Wow optimistic or what! Why stop there? Let's say and even 40/4500/8 2

You overlooked the #1 reason to bring in AJ McCarron... 1
Wayne Arnold Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 This is a tough one. I absolutely loved Bridgewater in college. Thought he was an accurate, pure pocket passer who could dissect defenses and that the Vikings had the steal of the 2014 Draft. Had an okay rookie season but I was underwhelmed by his play in 2015 despite being voted to the Pro Bowl. He didn't improve nearly as much as I thought he would. But I still anticipated that he would take another leap in his third season in 2016. If he passes all physicals and medical exams, he's worth bringing in at a reasonable price. But I can't help but shake that feeling that he's not as good as I thought he'd be.

If that isn't motivation to play football at a high level and get paid 20 mil a year I don't know what is. Wow, you should be able to achieve anything with a woman like that behind you. 1
NewEra Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Ehh. Only if we get a qb in the first rd. 1 year deal
