Logic Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 This reminds me of Sal Cappaccio posting yesterday that a good friend of his bet big money on a Jacksonville - New Orleans parlay. One tackle away from a huge windfall. Ouch.
4_kidd_4 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Oh darn, I was hoping we could look back at that time when I was like 8, fell off the swing set and smashed my onions real bad. This’ll do, I suppose. 1
Buffalo716 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) Thanks for making me sad. Every time just give it to em escapes my memory it always comes backs. Like herpes... not that I'd know lol NFL is rigged has been for years Edited January 15, 2018 by Buffalo716
CA OC Bills Fan Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 I was thinking about this game yesterday when the Vikings keeled down for the extra point. The difference between class and no class. Carroll taking the two points was classless. 2
Donszar Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) This game is the reason I hate Pete Carroll! Edited March 27, 2018 by Donszar

Drunken Pygmy Goat Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) I always thought that some poor Sapp in Vegas was boned by that finish (several, really), but I never considered someone getting boned on a 10 game parlay like that. Talk about falling off a cliff... Edited January 15, 2018 by Drunken Pygmy Goat

Utah John Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) As I recall, Ralph Wilson demanded that Walt Coleman never be assigned to ref a Bills game again. Of course the league refused. There isn't more to be said about those two critical calls at the end of the game. The Bills got hosed, completely. I don't know if it was incompetence on the part of the refs, or something more nefarious, but the Bills deserved to win that game. More history: The Bills made the playoffs that year, as the fifth seed. They had the same record (10-6) as the fourth seed, Miami, but were seeded lower due to a tie breaker. If they had been awarded the victory over the Pats that they earned, they would have been the fourth seed, and had home field advantage in the playoff game. But the game instead was in Miami, and the fish won by a touchdown. Miami went on to get crushed by the Broncos, who were pretty dominant and went on to win the Super Bowl that year. Would Buffalo have done better against Denver than Miami did? Probably, but they were probably not going to beat Denver in Denver anyway. Edited January 15, 2018 by Utah John
