Samwell Tarly Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 1 lucky catch and run on missed tackle vs over 30 years of NFL viewing. Saints make that tackle, Brees is your winner. I'll take a franchise qb over the long haul any day. 1
row_33 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 I learned never to give up on a game, after watching the first 59 minutes, after Michigan biffed that last second punt against Sparty paid off today
Albwan Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Somewhere, tonight BB and TB are sitting calmly sipping wine, giggling.

Would have thought you could say that if the Saints had won. But...... Moral of the game is - one player with his head up his rear can cost you a game/season. A tackle in bounds anywhere on the field or pushing him out of bounds ends the game. It was ridiculously hilarious that Minnesota was allowed to win. The receiver won that game for them. Individually awesome play that shouldn't have been allowed to happen. And I love it because I wanted Minnesota to win.

And the last one was mostly just busted coverage. I'm not saying he played poorly, but he wasn't the reason the Vikes won. That final play almost gave the feeling that NFL was fixed...The DB trying to NOT tackle the ball catcher !!! 1

P51 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) 1 - Keep your head up, eyes on what you want to hit. 2 - Wrap it up B. FF 1:00? Edited January 15, 2018 by P51 1
SinceThe70s Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 My assumption is this (along with the complementary "moral of the Saints victory" thread) is a social media experiment. All I can add is that Tatonka68 is f'n crazy.
row_33 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Teams should explore more options on last chance plays. Throwing it 30 short has worked a few times the last two years.

/dev/null Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Is this the Vikings biggest win over the Saints since 793?

Nothing special about the throw other than it might have put them in a long desperation FG. Diggs was even shocked when he caught it. Diggs was shocked when he caught it and stayed on his feet. He knew the DB was right behind him and expected to get whalloped, just hoped he could get OOB. His life goals changed in a heartbeat.

All_Pro_Bills Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 I hope the moral of the story is nobody will be talking about the 'music city miracle illegal forward pass' any longer. Thank you Saints.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 I thought the moral would be: Less people talking about the Music City Miracle as this now kind of tops that play!

I’m not convinced that 2 QBs and a handful of bowlers makes this a better team. 1

SoFFacet Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 You know I'm all for drafting a QB this year. But if anything this year's crop of semifinalists proves the opposite of what everyone has been saying about needing an elite QB. The Jaguars, Vikings, and Eagles just won at least one playoff game with Bortles, Keenum, and Foles, respectively. Other semifinalist is obviously the Pats, but having the best QB/Coach combo is basically an uncopiable blueprint.

Bleeding Bills Blue Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Just don't understand it at all... he's deep covering no one, and comes flying in and doesn't play the ball at all... just grab his legs and its game
