then what kind of trade value does he have ?

He would be fine depth and cheap for another year or two, see if the light comes on.

I still struggle in trading Ragland. he may not have been the ideal fit but he had/has upside

How could you possibly have known that about Ragland? More importantly how can you know that about Lawson who was drafted hurt (fail) and when he’s been healthy has had zero pass rush impact? The guys trash and wouldn’t be a #2 de on any quality team.

Even if you could get an identical player with a 4th, why, bother.  Give him another year and see what happens.  Our draft scouts will be busy enough evaluating talent for the picks we do have. Why divert scouting focus to find a replacement for a player we already have.

Because that player will have 4 years under a minimum contract.  Pretty simple

Have not read a single reply in the topic but this is a Classic sell low move if it happens AGAIN by the FO.

Say it with me: Shaq Lawson is traaaaaash. You’re not gonna get anything more for him by carrying his dead weight for another year or two

Don't sound so foolish Joe. You don't get drafted in the 1st round of the NFL if your "Trash". This is Ragland 2.0 at it's finest if we do trade him, creating yet again another hole on this team. Some Bills fans are so damn fickle and will not even give a player 2 full seasons to develop into anything under one system. Truly sad the mindset of some around here.

Joe, how many new jobs have you started were your just a rockstar the 1st year? It usually takes couple years to really start making a impact to your company. The exact same thing applies here. Are there exceptions? Of course but very rarely.

You won’t get much for him, he’s still cheap, I don’t see the point. I’d give him another season. (My son vehemently disagrees, however...it seems to be personal for some reason!)

Give me a friggin' break.

He'd be saying Bruce was trash too after his first year as well when he only had 6 sacks.

Also, by no means and I'm comparing Shaq and Bruce for the record.

McD needs pressure from the front 4. Lawson has an extremely slow get off and isn't going to provide what the HC needs.

I can see why they'd be look to move in.

Hes a DE that cant sack the QB. He serves literally no purpose.

Dont be an idiot. Bruce showed promise. Shaq hasn’t shown diddly squat.

Perhaps he could be replaced with a better player in either FA or different draft pick , one that can actually both rush the passer and stop the run, and the pick we get for him could be used on, say, a RB. It isn’t necessary to use the pick you get for a certain player on his replacement. He could also be included in a package for a player like Alex Smith, depending on what route they go for a vet QB.

Not going to happen. I have a source that tells me our top TWO picks will be spent on the RB position.

I trust this front office to make moves to improve this team. It worked laat year when many of us raised an eyebrow or doubted them and we finally made the playoffs.

Ill trust them again this year

The entire DL was atrocious that’s how.

But.....other than that....

Build both lines and work out from there (other than get a QB). The loss of Wood hurts creating one more hole.

If you can get a 3rd for Shaq, fine. But he has only been healthy for basically the last 14 months. That, and he has been in two completely different pro schemes. I'd like to see what he can be after another McD camp. You never know.

The dude was going to be a first rounder that draft even if the Bills didn't take him...so there are teams that prob like him.
