You "progressives' (communists) fail to realize that the election for president is 50 separate elections weighed based on population. The "popular vote" means nothing.

I understand that.  I don't think it should be changed.

But when a Prez. wins an "upside down election"... They should govern from the middle.

Always meet people in the middle when one is not in an advantageous position.  Put down the shovel.

Or...just keep writing executive orders because Congress is "obstructionist."

Too bad your Democrat heroes sold out those same poor children for a bad attempt at scoring political points.

That's exactly what they are saying on Fox News. Still does not make it true, but they and you are saying it. Who would believe that? Oh ya, the Fox News crowd

how do you know what Fox is saying?

I watch.

I see the never ever bring up the case of the Dreamers. Why not just pass a bill giving these people legal protections? How evil is that to scapegoat these people

Yet the Democrats were against 6 years of funding for that program because they didn't want to fund the government for a month.

To say they didn't turn their backs on those poor children is an outright lie. Also known as a Democrat talking point.

No it's not. The Dems want both. They want the Liberal program for children. It's a Liberal program B-) Right?

The GOP saying one but not the other is a tacitic to do neither

Update:

Dems appear ready to capitulate on Wall funding for DACA deal, but it won’t be enough

Rep Gutierrez: “We’ll build him a wall. Tell us how high you want it. But free the dreamers”

We are now in Day 2 of the government shutdown, and things are not moving favorably for the Democrats, and they know it.

One sign may be that some leading Democrats are talking about capitulating on funding a wall on the Mexican border.

The Wall is symbolic in many ways.

Chucky trying a sleight of hand in this article.....

unday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” while discussing the government shutdown, White House budget director Mick Mulvaney said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) offer on the border wall was only to “authorize” funding, not “appropriating” the money.

HMM: New California law will automatically register illegal immigrants to vote.

In 2015, the state passed a law called the California New Motor Voter Act to increase voter rolls by simplifying the process to register to vote.

The legislation, which goes into effect April 1, will automatically register people who apply for a new driver’s license or new state ID at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

California has long provided driver’s licenses to anyone who claims to be in the country legally, whether they provide proof or not, which means illegal aliens will be registered to vote.

The only way a person won’t have their information at the DMV automatically sent to the Secretary of State’s Office for registration is if they opt out.

The does seem ripe for abuse, which I suppose is the entire point.

It would make sense that they would agree to the Wall to get something they actually care about.

As I joked elsewhere, a massive public works and infrastructure project that will require the seizure of land from private citizens, that will be applied broadly to all states on which it rests (and not up to the states themselves) with an uncertain long term funding that looks to cost taxpayers an untold fortune? Oh, and every expert, including the ones working for the White House say it won't do what it's supposed to. Are you sure this wasn't a liberal idea?

And you won't even have to bother going out to the polls.  A vote for Democratic candidates will automatically be cast on your behalf

Washington Post:

Democrats just got rolled. They can blame Barack Obama.

“If he had wanted to act, he could have. Obama’s party controlled the House, and Democrats had a 60-vote filibuster-proof majority. If Obama really wanted to pass either the Dream Act or comprehensive immigration reform, Republicans were powerless to stop him. But he didn’t do it.”

He didn’t do it because it was highly unpopular and would have seriously damaged the Democrats’ position. Dem strategy has always been to sucker the Republicans into taking this highly unpopular move, after which Democrats would happily reap the benefits of imported voters.

Oh good, so I guess Obama won't be getting any votes in 2020, lol

It was unpopular but so was Obamacare, which is now very popular. He had to save the economy, which is humming along now thanks to the actions of both Bush and Obama, which was viciously opposed by Conservatives and now Trump is taking credit for the economy.
