Alaska Darin Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 The government is trying to figure out MLB's steroid problem. Not that there are more pressing problems. Whoever the Congressman they interviewed is, dude is stealing taxpayer money. Moron.
nobody Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 I would love to become a congressman so I could get those great health and retirement benefits.
GG Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 At the end of the day, baseball is a multi-billion $$ industry which falls under the scope of commerce laws. I view the Congressional hearings on steroids in the same vein as them holding hearings on banks overcharging little old ladies. If you have cheaters in an industry that refuses to police itself, someone has to step in and smack some heads. Congress actually has an obligation to fix things, if they are broken, because Congress has protected MLB via anti-trust exemption.
