BringBackOrton Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 He's from the Blokes coaching tree. I'm okay with it. 2

Kmart128 Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 Why not this??? Hire Rob Chudzinski (McDermott connection) Move David Culley to WRs coach (One of the best in the business) Fire Phil McGeorghan (His group struggled to separate all season long) Hire Ken Dorsey as QB coach (McDermott and Chudzinski connections)

Ittakestime Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 Bills should bring in Mike Shula as QB coach. He has a real good track record in that position and I am not sure if he will get another OC this year.

The ability to coach thing is probably important too.

I think it terms of available options, Shula would be a good QB coach. Edited January 18, 2018 by Ittakestime

Move him to a different role. How about move him out the door? You guys are all missing something. This guy has never coached in an E-P system. Andy Reid is a strictly West Coast guy. Daboll needs the best chance to prove himself as an OC. Let him pick all his own guys. Don't rinse and recycle and make him be trying to teach his system to players, through the mouths and words of guys who have never coached it before. Quit giving him McDermott connections, let him pick his own. Edited January 18, 2018 by Hapless Bills Fan

It's also rare you have a happy guy taking a step back. If nothing else he'll be waiting to see if he can get another OC gig, or who knows maybe Colts keep him if they don't hire McDaniels (now rumored to have interest from Titans). Culley is a WCO guy (Reid). Now, Ken Dorsey is an EP guy, Panthers have run it since Shula came in in 2013. But guys usually aren't released to make lateral moves (QB coach->QB coach) and it's usually not to their benefit. They want to coach different positions to build up their experience for an OC gig and a shot at a HC position. That's why Culley came in as WR coach, he wanted the experience of coaching different positions, so it's not clear Culley would be interested in stepping back to WR coach. Isn't Reid losing both his OCs this year? Childress retiring and Matt Nagy gone to the Bears? Culley might get a chance to step up as OC for Reid? 4 hours ago, Ittakestime said: Bills should bring in Mike Shula as QB coach.
