26CornerBlitz
I'm surprised because I think he did a nice job with McCown and the receiving corps. Edited January 17, 2018 by 26CornerBlitz
SinceThe70s
One rumor I saw had him going with Gruden to Oakland.

Maybe that'll be the case, but they already have an OC in Greg Olson and Gruden will be calling plays. If I were him, I'd be looking for a higher profile position if the Jets decide to let him go. MrEpsYtown
Perhaps Morton goes to Seattle to replace Bevell? He was OC for Pete Carroll at USC. Morton also worked for Norv Turner and Sean Payton.
GunnerBill
He'd be on my list of candidates here.

Scoring 0, 19, 7 and 6 with Bryce Petty killed their overall rank. Morton did a pretty good job with almost no talent.... though Robby Anderson is a stud.

I still don't know if I would want him with the Bills. But, I do think he is better than Dennison. So, if Dennison is let go (I prefer that) I would think and hope we get a better OC than Morton. I want a strong, innovative play caller with QB whispering skills.

HappyDays
I almost wish we had just gotten him, all things considered he did a great job this year. McCown is not a good QB but the offense set him up for success. Some team is going to end up with an innovative OC who knows how to use his players strengths. BillsFan4
Wonder what the story behind this firing is. Was it just the on field performance or was there more to it? (like the development of their young QBs? McCown had a career year under him though, so...) Edited January 17, 2018 by BillsFan4
Buffalo_Stampede
Just a guess but the Jets probably go hard after Todd Haley. Probably didn't expect him available. I'm surprised Pete Carroll didn't wait for Morton to get fired before hiring Shotty. Morton and Carroll go way back.

He runs the air raid offense, traditionally this is a college offense but he made it work in the NFL.
