I watched Jacknife for the first time the other night and thought it was a very underrated movie.

He had some good ones.  But I'd go with Taxi Driver, The King of Comedy, and Raging Bull

I could be wrong but that was the first time I remember DiNiro being in a comedy, and he was hysterical in it (If King of Comedy was before it that doesn't count because it wasn't a comedy). Midnight Run was really well made, fun and entertaining movie. Charles Grodin was terrific, too.

Other underrated or lesser known ones that were great were Once Upon a Time in America, This Boy's Life, Bronx Tale,

Analyze This (and That). “Someone call the Vatican, see if anything is missing.”

OK, that's more Billy Crystal, but.....

So, so many.  I’m gonna go with Raging Bull by a nose hair over Casino.  Loved him in Meet the Parents too.

Meet the Parents was great.

Goodfellas and Godfather2 he was excellent (of course)

I really enjoyed Heat (great cast)

Not his best performance, but the chemistry between him and Grodin was excellent, and made the movie.

Including an all time great exchange:

Grodin: Jack, you're a grown man, you have control over your own words.

DeNiro: You're right, I do have control over my own words. And here come two for you: STFU!

I always wondered whether any of that was ad-libbed.

Nobody's mentioning his role as the Fearless Leader in Rocky & Bullwinkle

That was my go-to moment.
