He's been all over the line I couldn't remember. I think he would be a much better player if he returned to right.

I'm fairly sure the decision is still in the air at OBD at this moment. I'm also inclined to concede the LT/RT model is becoming far more amorphus in this age of flexible packages and line roles on the defensive side of the ball. The days of the best big athlete for the defense playing at the RDE position have changed enough that both tackles need to cover well laterally in pass protection and defensive overloads on running plays are as likely to happen on one side as the other. The bottom line in the NFL today is that short of a physical anomaly restricting play to one side or the other, a good OT should be able to man either spot.

Right.

It took him almost 2-1/2 years to play like a real NFL tackle,

no sense in having him start all over again.

Mike Williams protected Phil Simms? :(

Chris Simms, taken in the 3rd round of 2003 draft. I don't know if he's related to Phil.

I think he held down that position really well last year.

I think he gets a bad rap from the guys on this board because of he was a high draft pick. It took him a while to catch up to the pro game but he has worked out of it and delivere some sweet pancakes through out the season. :D
