KDS73 Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 why he didn't put a spy on Bortles. Letting Bortles continue to run without doing a damn thing about it was just astounding. It would've made all the difference in the world. And don't give me the "hindsight is always 20/20" line either. When the qb is running all over you, you put a spy on him. Especially when it's a terrible throwing qb like Bortles. That's just football 10. McDermott deserves a big part of the blame for this loss. 1
Sweats Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Maybe McD didn't do his homework and realize that Bortles could actually sprint. Yeah, i got nothing to defend McD here.

Woodman19 Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Defense spotted the offense 10 points, if you want to criticize anything at all about the game it should be on the other side of the ball. 6 2
Perry Turtle Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Watching Bortles try to throw, it's hard to fathom why the Bills didn't have 9 guys in the box the whole game.
MDH Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Yeah, allowing those 10 points killed the Bills. They weren’t going to pitch a shutout. Teams will get theirs, this time is was cia the scramble. You allow 10 points you should win, period. 2
popcornpam Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Our linebackers were too busy running back towards the ocean Really what kind a back up defense was that 1
White Linen Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 He escaped big time pressure that's different than just letting him run. You can't cover everything. Putting someone to shadow him puts one less person in coverage. The man drew up a beautiful defensive game and this is what you want to complain about? 1
RaoulDuke79 Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Fournette was a non factor and Bortles didn't do **** in the passing game. The defense did everything they were expected to do. McDermott doesn't have to answer for anything. 1

BearNorth Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Also - first and goal from the 1.5 yard line, butchered that series, then butchered clock management at the end of the half to allow the Jags to Score. 7 point coaching screwup there.
popcornpam Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 I’m glad you enjoyed it We didn’t win we didn’t blitz and we backed into the playoffs Denver was lousy this year they were usually in the playoffs
Klaista2k Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 That's a good point. If take Bortles ability to run away then Jacksonville literally doesn't score any points in this game.

The D 100% put us in the driver seat to win again. This is 100% on our Offense.
The Now Moment Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 (edited) With the lack of talent we have on defense, they gave up 10 points...10. In a playoff game, that should get it done but our offense with Tyrod at the head is anemic. Shady wasn't bad even playing through injury, Tyrod was just garbage. More talent will be walking in next year, will be fun to watch Edited January 8, 2018 by Buffalo30

Heavy Kevi Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 If you hold a playoff team to 10 points, you should have won. Defense played tough, and beside the Bortles scramble their offense did little to nothing. Offense was the issue. Real QB please
Best Player Available Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 The defense held them to10 points. The offense lost the game. There is work to be done.
