papazoid Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 The news comes one day after Triplette's eventful performance in the Tennessee Titans' 22-21 wild-card playoff victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Triplette's decision is not believed to have been a direct result of that game, but he was not immediately available for comment to explain his reasons. Kwai San Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 This guy was a joke of a ref - never seemed like he was in control of the game but rather the game controlled him.....not a good quality in a head ref. Good riddance clown car driver.....
Saxum Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Was just about to post on this. The Barney Fife of zebras except not likeable. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/referee-jeff-triplette-reportedly-retiring-after-questionable-performance-in-nfl-playoffs/ Saturday afternoon featured some very fun NFL playoff football, but the early game between the Titans and Chiefs was marred by some horrendous officiating. The primary culprit? Head official Jeff Triplette, who repeatedly bumbled calls on the mic after repeatedly blowing plays dead early and lacking control over the game in general. In somewhat surprising news, it appears the playoff game was Triplette's last.
KW95 - JA17 Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Chad and Dunkirk Don gave me the inside info that I posted last week after the Miami game in regards to Triplette!
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 ...Periera ripped him up and spit him out pretty bad all over the place this morning....at least Al Riveron isn't retiring.......

Best Player Available Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 His retirement couldn't come soon enough.
