How many times per game does Tyrod avoid sacks within a few seconds after the snap? How many times does he scramble around and complete a pass? How many times does he run for his life and gain positive yardage? I'd bet Tyrod does the above 5 times per game. That's 80 times in a season. If he was sacked 1/2 of these plays it would be 40 plays for 7-10 yard losses. He's definitely not the best QB in the NFL but Tyrod makes this weak Bills OL look a lot better than it is!!! Frankly, there aren't many OL in the NFL that can support a classic "rifle arm statue" pocket passer. But a QB and an offense designed to get the ball out quickly, or a QB who can sense pressure and slide around in the pocket to evade it and extend plays as Brees, Rodgers, and Ryan can, would probably make our OL look better. Remember how switching from Trentative Edwards to Ryan Fitzpatrick magically made our OL improve? Edited January 7, 2018 by Hapless Bills Fan
