Irv Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 (edited) Their decision to flex the games on Sunday made a huge difference in the overall fun of last weekends game. Put the Baltimore/Cincy or Miami/Bills game at differing times and it would have been ok but not as interesting. Nice job NFL! Dilly Dilly. Edited January 4, 2018 by Badthingsman

RiotAct Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 I think originally the Cinci game and our game were both supposed to be played at 1:00, correct? So it would have all worked out the same as far as fan/player jubilation, assuming the outcomes would have been the same if the games were played three hours earlier 1

No team had an advantage with all games starting at the same time if there were any playoff implications involved. Loved the decision and the drama it created.

They should try for less viewership? Be honest. That doesn't make any sense. 3 minutes ago, RiotAct said: I think originally the Cinci game and our game were both supposed to be played at 1:00, correct? So moving these away from the East Coast games made sense? Edited January 4, 2018 by Badthingsman
Doc Brown Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Agreed. Made for an exciting evening having all four games played at once. Also happy we're playing this Sunday at 1:00.

The league obviously didn’t know how each game would shake out (or did they? DunDUNDUNNNNNNN) so they moved our game and the CIN-BAL game to maximize excitement and hence viewership.
John in Jax Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 If they had stayed with the original schedules, and the outcomes were the same, the only thing that would have happened differently would have been that the late Chargers/Raiders game would have meant nothing....just as it meant nothing at 4pm.
