How are we going to get a lead forcing them to pass if Tyrod has another 57 or 112 yard passing game?

They better be scheming up tons of new plays that rely on Tyrod's mobility, or we're dead ducks.

J-Ville 2ndary ranked at the TOP in the league as well.  # 1 in fact.  Yards / game and yards / attempt.

Good luck TT...

Interesting, however I think part of the difference is the added hindrance on mobility/quickness when you throw on full pads., vs a cloth diaper.

Not sure about that.  That's not even a diaper they wear!  It's like a super long "sash" that wraps around the crotch area.  I believe DC Tom specialized in doing the wrappings for the professional sumo wrestling association when he lived in Japan; you could PM him for more details on that.

I like the idea of parking a 450 lb. sumo guy as nose tackle, on run downs.  Ask him to plug the middle and not be moved.  If nothing else, that forces the offense to go around the center of the line.  That alone could be useful for one of these guys.  Could also be useful on goal line stands.

if tyrod plays very poorly, its likely we lose.  that is the same for the 31 other teams.  If you are going into this expecting 57 yards passing, you probably shouldnt bother watching Sunday.

I'm not expecting 57 yards passing, I'm fearing it!

My gut is telling me both teams stop the run. I think Fournette and McCoy both get shutdown, it turns into a chess match between Bortles and Tyrod. Just my gut feeling.

Not sure if your are goofing around or serious.

Anyway, a game like that is the game we have a shot at winning.

The road to victory in this game runs straight through Blake Bortles.

He is by far the weakest link in the Jaguar chain.

I'm very concerned about this matchup especially going against a superior HC in St. Doug, but I have a gut feeling the Bills will find a way to keep this feel good story alive one more week.

I haven’t reviewed enough Jags game footage but..

Is Fournette a north/south style back, or is a shifty one.

Based on games this this season, it seems like we have had issues stopping backs that could turn the corner as we can’t seal the gaps around the corner. See what Kamara did for the Saints and Drake for Dolphins.

if Fournette is more of an up the middle bruiser, this may bode well for us.

I think Kyle Williams plays like he's possessed along with the rest of our front 7. I also think our game plan is going to be to shutdown Jacksonville's run game. McDermott and Frazier are going to focus in on this all week. They're going to force Bortles to beat Gaines, White, Hyde and Poyer.

A caller called in to Schopp and Bulldog yesterday when Sal Capaccio was on.

Anyway, a discussion about how good of a coach Marrone was ensued; the consensus by all involved was that he's actually a good coach.

Of course, for reasons other than pure coaching ability, he is vilified in WNY.

I agree he is probably a pretty good coach though.

Had he stayed here, we well may have made the playoffs before now.

stats are misleading...

The Bills gave up a record setting amount of yards in back to back games that definitely skews us to this rank.

Based on the eye-test... I see this team more in the 18-20 rank of run defense TODAY.

As of today I still believe St. Doug is a great coach and living up to the young Bills Parcells comparisons. We may or may not regret letting him go depending on what happens with McD the next few years.

And technically he did get the Jags back to the playoffs before the Bills since they clinched their spot with 2 weeks left in the regular season.

Either way what's done is done and there is no turning back.

Best Chance - Get the Jags in throwing situations and get after Bortles.  If Fournette gets going, Bills will lose.

They're going to do the same thing to Tyrod, you better believe it. Only difference is, Tyrod can call his own number and pick up some yards on the ground.

They'll get their rushing yards. The key is to stop them in the red zone and create turnovers when Bortles actually throws the ball, which he is not shy of doing.

The Bills are not a good defense between the 20's.

I would like to see Bortles and TT play chess. They probably would both only look at half the board.

Both. Really nice speed once he gets going, but mostly a downhill runner. Looks to plow guys over. Almost like a faster/thinner Jerome Bettis at times, with breakaway speed.

We are going to need to tackle well.

I think coaching might be one of the few areas that we are relative equals in.  Neither has ever been coached a team in the playoffs before.  Both have been assistants for teams that were in the playoffs though.

Both coaches are conservative, both prefer a bend but don't break approach on defense, limiting turnovers, and running the ball to get in makeable 3rd downs.  Very similar philosophies - but their team has a lot more talent.

Always will come down to QB though.  I don't think Tyrod is much better than Bortles, but if he has a good game we'll probably win.

Bortles is athletic & can motor pretty well.
