Same as the one month and six month polls.

Do you approve or disapprove Trump's job performance so far?

Feel free to expand on your answer in a post. For example, is how your feeling about him now different or the same as before the election? Are you happy with certain parts, and down on other parts of his performance? Etc.

One Month: 45% Approve/55% Disapprove

Six Months: 32% Approve/68% Disapprove

I don't mind saying that I'm surprised at Trump's performance. He's doing way better than I thought he would. He's really only had congress work with him on the tax reform bill, but between judicial appointments and the rolling back of 44's executive orders, I'm impressed with what's been accomplished in one year.

Sure, it would be nice if our leader was a thoughtful, calm-spoken statesman, but considering where I was afraid we'd be as a nation at this point, I think we're in great shape.

Just think if the very same things happened under a democrat administration how the person in charge would be getting praised. Go Trump's policies!

Well, if the very same things happened under a modern democrat administration, it would purely be by accident.

They're way too invested in socialist - progressivism to ever achieve anything comparable.

By the way - after the presidential election, are people actually still putting any stock in any national polls regarding Trump and his popularity?

If so, why?

I said "disapprove" because he put ketchup on a steak, and I can't get past it; but I think he's done a tremendous job from a policy perspective in a vacuum, add to that the fact that rather than working in a vacuum he's doing this in the face of the left's "#resistance" which looks to have attempted a coup, and I'd give him 4 out of a possible 4 Ron Paul memes.

Mixed bag.

Positives:

-Withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement.

-Moving US Embassy to Jerusalem.

-Illegal border crossings down.

-Reducing size of federal bureaucracy.

Negatives:

-Never bothered to push for keeping SALT deductions as it was which will hurt me come tax time.  Directly punishes higher income earners in blue states.

-Removed CSR payments to ACA which will cost the federal government even more money which gets put on the tax payer.

-Got involved in NFL's business and called private citizens (players kneeling) SOB's at a rally in Alabama.  I usually brush off his stupid comments/tweets as it's Trump just being Trump, but that one pissed me off.

-Was dumb enough to fire James Comey and then lied about why he did it leading to this stupid Special Prosecutor.  The news won't shut-up about it now even though there's probably nothing there as far as Russia collusion goes.

So how is NY, NJ, CA, etc. having high STATE taxes a federal problem that needs the rest of the country to subsidize?

Oh please.  Blue states pay more in federal taxes per capita than red states so who's subsidizing who?

Uh huh, so what does that have to do with the rest of the country subsidizing state taxes? Is that taken into account with the no-context per capita nonsense that the left tries to whip out to prove their "point"?

Here's a thought, if you don't like your state taxes, gee, try blaming Cuomo and the 3-men-in-a-room system that the dipshits in this state just voted overwhelmingly to continue. Try blaming Albany for unfunded state mandates crippling your county property taxes.

If you're blaming Trump because of SALT hurting your life (and let's be honest, it ain't going to be that bad, unless you're stupidly living beyond your means), take a close look in the mirror.

I voted disapprove (so far).  It's a mixed bag and a lot of what he's doing hasn't borne fruit yet -- could go either way.

I like that he's reducing regulations, but I can't say that I agree with every one that he's repealed.  I thought he'd have moderated his jackassery, but he just can't, and I don't think he does himself any favors by being a jerk.

Agree.  The guy cannot self assess or doesn't care about how he's perceived when he should.  The sad part of that is he'd be in a good position to win support of a greater portion of the electorate and some in congress by simply adjusting his style.  Instead he turns people off which makes it harder to get things done.

why are you letting CNN dictate your expectations of a President?

10/10.   Would try again

I agree with this guy.

I'd like to add, for me personally,

1) I love what he has done in the shithole that is the Middle East. The House of Saud, Israel, Iran (removal of a toothless piece of garbage agreement, which the Iranians laughed at anyway, and removal of gifts to terror states.

2) His tweet about Kim's button is how I think we should play North Korea (diplomacy has not worked at all). I am laughing at all these Twitter warriors bitching about the tweet. I mean, I doubt many of them are aware Clinton lost the biscuit (card with the nuke codes) for months without telling anyone.

3) His use of Twitter in general will change the way Politicains communicate, forever. IMHO. Not the biggest fan, but it does bypass the trash that the media has become over the past few decades.

4) Calling out the NFL, and its Kaepernick washing, was a good thing. Just as bad as Hollywood creating problems where none exist.

5) Pulling out of the Paris Accord took balls. But, it was just a feel good circlejerk, which most countries just laughed at.

6) Actually providing consequence to the UN for its anti-American actions, instead of mere appeasement.

7) Speaking his mind and not taking **** from the media and media trolls (cannot be stated enough).

Making the best decisions instead of the most popular ones is something we have not seen in federal government in quite some time.
