I got to share this moment with my two sons, whom I am re-united with after 4 years of incarceration. It was very emotional for me. My tears were mixed with being home, sharing the Bills win, seeing my sons, and having their mom out with her new boyfriend.

I was a little in shock, I think.  I welled up later when some guy called WGR and told the story of watching the Bills in the playoffs at age 10 with his father, and how his Dad passed away before they could do it again, and it hit me how many families must have a similar story.

I actually have gaps in my memory after the Bengals touchdown.  I remember the touchdown, loud noises, suddenly being in the hallway, then suddenly being facedown on the living room floor crying...

So yeah, I guess it involved crying.

Seems strange and whimpy to cry over entertainment but that's just me.

I'm with you. Not really whimpy, just inappropriate. There are just millions of things we should she'd a tear for before we cry for a sports team. Honestly, I was flipping off the Ravens and cursing at them when the Bengals scored. Also, posting on here.

I did get a lump in throat and a little misty-eyed when I watched videos of the fans and Bills players celebrating. Really touching watching some of the Bills players with emotion on their face and seeing the happiness on the faces of the fans.

I had that feeling, too.  But when they got that TD, I completely lost my ****.

Ditto. Couldn’t bring myself to say it, but that feeling was just kinda “there”...got to watch it happen with other die hards in NYC at a friends place with amazing views and all Of us with young children. We can get smashed 49-0 next week and I will still cherish tonight forever.

Nope but I'm sure the neighbors weren't too thrilled with my screaming into the night.  I had a huge lump in my throat and I wanted to bawl like a little kid after that forward lateral so many years ago tho.

No, I didn't, but I did scream a lot and pound my fists into the couch (not after the win, after the 4th and 12 TD).

As someone in his mid twenties, who cannot remember the glory days of Bills football, this was my best sports memory hands down. Pretty crazy that it is a game between the Ravens and Bengals, and I don't care about either team.

On that 4th and 12 play.  Biggest swing of emotion since the Music City Miracle.

If you live in the Buffalo area then the neighbors pry don't mind.

For the sake of all that is holy, please edit this with an alternate celebratory meme. I had tears of relief in my eyes as friends were texting their congratulations on the Bills playoff berth. Tom Brady’s cheating presence in this thread has resulted in these evolving to salty, hateful tears of rage! F$&@ Tom Brady!!!!!!!

Dude get over yourself. Every thread you're finding a reason to piss in people's Cheerios. Give it up. First time since I was 10 that the Bills earned a postseason berth, you're damn right I cried.

Wonder how you all would handle a Superbowl win lol.

I can tell you as a lifelong Cubs fan, I lost it when they won the pennant and again when they won the World Series. And when it finally happens for the Bills organization and the city of Buffalo, if you don’t cry I’d think something is wrong with you.

As a Bills fan, tonight felt like that moment when Joe Buck yelled “The Cubs have won the pennant!” and I don’t think getting emotional in a moment like that is some kind of indictment of a person’s toughness.

Buffalo derives a great deal of its identity from its two sports teams and this was an important moment for a lot of people. Most of us were born into our fandoms, and some folks have lost the people responsible for that fandom. You can call it entertainment if you want, but to many of us it’s more than that. But you do you and **** on the people that wondered if we’d ever see a 17th game in a season again.
