If they can do it to Brady, .... not to be too obvious but the secondary has to play a big part in getting pressure by good having coverage
26CornerBlitz Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 View from the O-Zone: Here at last Oehser: There are a slew of pregame themes for the first Jaguars playoff game since 2007 Sunday, but enjoying and savoring what will be a memorable day at EverBank Field? That matters, too Ten things: Bills-Jaguars Senior writer John Oehser’s 10 things the Jaguars must to beat the Buffalo Bills Sunday in an AFC Wild Card Playoff game at EverBank Field. Statistically Speaking: Friday Five The Associated Press just named four Jaguars to their All-Pro team. Take a guess the last time that happened and get ready to party like its 1999.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 3. Jacksonville has football’s fastest defense. With LeSean McCoy less than 100 percent, Buffalo’s only prayer is to connect on a few downfield play-action shots. On Sunday you’ll see Tyrod Taylor roll out and target tight ends Charles Clay and Nick O’Leary on deep crossing patterns. The idea is to make the speed of linebackers Telvin Smith and Myles Jack work against Jacksonville. 4. Blake Bortles was erratic in Week 16 against San Francisco, and in Week 17 he couldn’t overcome a Titans defense that stifled his receivers in man coverage. Those performances were disappointing, but not enough to make you forget Bortles’s excellence in the rest of December. Still, Jaguars coach Doug Marrone knows that Buffalo’s only chance at beating his team is through turnovers. And Bortles, throwing against safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde (both have had career years), is the likeliest avenue to turnovers. Given that, and given the fact that Buffalo’s linebackers are so mediocre, Marrone will tell offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett to run the ball 40 times on Sunday.

26CornerBlitz Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 Friday update: Lee questionable Jaguars WR Marqise Lee practices limited, listed as questionable entering AFC Wild Card Playoff game against Buffalo Bills at EverBank Field Sunday at 1:05 p.m. JACKSONVILLE – Marqise Lee was confident. As for Jaguars Head Coach Doug Marrone, he sounded more confident than he expected to sound when discussing Lee’s status for Sunday’s postseason opener. Lee, who led the Jaguars in receptions this season, practiced Friday morning. That was his first practice of the week after missing the last two games of the regular season with an ankle injury. He was listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report of the week Friday. “He (Lee) looked better than I envisioned him looking,” Marrone said Friday as the AFC South Champion Jaguars (10-6) prepared to play the Buffalo Bills (9-7) in an AFC Wild Card Playoff game at EverBank Field Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

atlbillsfan1975 Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Man I hope the middle of the Jax defense doesn’t impact the game to much. Poz and Marcel will bring their A games on Sunday.
