R. Rich Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 She isn't given a name I don't believe. 267250 I don't think so either. The late Lynne Thigpen played the DJ. She was also on the TV show "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?" and in the movie "Lean On Me". She was a pretty good actress.
buckeyebrian Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 About the same time another gang movie was out called "The Wanderers". That had the guy who played "Meat" on Porky's. That has some funny gangs in it and was not a bad movie at all.... The Fongs (Kung Fu gang) The Baldies The Duckey Boys (about 20000 spaz'os) The Wanderers Funny movie! 267248 Now that was a great flick - Ken Wahl, Karen Allen ("Indiana Jones" and Boone's girlfriend in "Animal House" and a tremendous sound track
ChevyVanMiller Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 In 1979 I was 15. This was the first movie that I went to see with a bunch of my friends and no parents. For weeks upon weeks someone from that gang would put a bunch of pop bottles on his fingers and deliver the "Come out and play" line on my street. Thanks for bringing back the memory. One note: Joe Walsh sol, and not the Eagles, recorded "In the City."
TheMadCap Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 Her name's Mercy, right ? I think. 267244 Keeps refering to "boppers"????
R. Rich Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 Mercy was the name of the girl that Swan picked up on their way back to Coney Island. The DJ didn't have a name.
BF_in_Indiana Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 That song was solo recording by Joel Walsh 267494 Yes it was, but the Eagles claim it as their own. Check some of their greatest hits cds.
