BringBackOrton Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/12/27/frank-gore-wants-to-play-again-as-long-as-he-has-help/ Franky wants a team with a QB and OL. We have .25/2 there, but we could be that team. A RBBC with McCoy and Gore would be pretty deadly.
BuffaloBillyG Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 I'd rather have someone younger behind McCoy. Someone that can take over for him in the next couple years. Gore is still ok...but the wheels will come off sooner than later. 1
Nick the Greek Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Ageless Frank Gore. He did regress some this season but would still be a decent complement, for one year at least.
Bangarang Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Backup RBs are literally a dime a dozen. Find some young guy on the streets or in the draft and we’re fine.

Can we replace tolbert with Gore? 5 minutes ago, Bangarang said: Backup RBs are literally a dime a dozen. Find some young guy on the streets or in the draft and we’re fine. I'm not sure you are clear on the definition of 'literally'

Happy Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 We need to replace Tolbert, but with a RB younger than 34. Gore has been around a long time and has taken his share of hits. There has to be someone in the draft we can target as a RB2 that can be had in the value rounds (3-6).

Gore is still an excellent RB, but I would guess they would go for someone younger and less expensive. Afterall, they are a dime a dozen, or so I've heard.
OldTimer1960 Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Gore would be a nice get, but he would be too expensive. They can’t spend THAT much money at RB for McCoy AND Gore.
Gugny Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Hell ... might as well just get Fred Jackson back.

westerndecline Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 (edited) No lol They're going to resign cadet and possibly bring back Taiwan Jones and draft a running back on the second or third day Edited December 27, 2017 by westerndecline

BmarvB Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 He's a future hall of famer with enough gas left in the tank to be a good fit to replace Tolbert.
billsbackto81 Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 No. As great as Shady has been we need to get his replacement on the roster sooner than later.
JimKellyTryouts Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Like when he last was a FA, Gore would want to go to a team that can give him a shot at a ring - for real this time.
billsfan714 Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 How about Don Nottingham or Norm Bulaich, both of whom could probably still out run Tolbert.
