JoeF Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 A lot of openings. I am predicting 12....wow... alternatives welcome :-) NFC: New York Giants - Bill Belichick - Mara's provide an ownership stake and a high first-round pick. Belichick wants one more challenge and rebuilding the Giants is it. Dallas Cowboys - Jim Bob Cooter Washington Redskins- Matt Patricia Arizona Cardinals - Byron Leftwich (current QB coach) Detroit Lions - Teryl Austin (Current DC) Chicago Bears- Pat Shurmur Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Mike Smith (Current DC) AFC New England Patriots - Josh McDaniel (Bill O'Brien ends up as OC of the NYG) Houston Texans - Mike Vrabel Indianapolis Colts - David Shaw Bengals - Hue Jackson Browns - Matt Nagy
RoyBatty is alive Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Texans set an NFL record with the number of injuries/different players they were forced to play this year. No way McNair is going to fire Obrien and he is not quitting so no Vrabel at Houston. And I would be thrilled if Patricia went to the Redskins.
BuffaloBillyG Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Belichick to the Giants? Leftwich as head guy in Arizona? And I'm not so sure Tampa would promote from within again.

Chuck Wagon Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Bucs - Gruden Lions - Austin Bears - Bob Stoops Colts - Jim Harbaugh Bengals - Hue Jackson Browns - Dave Toub Broncos - Frank Reich Giants - Josh McDaniel
Buffalo_Stampede Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 I do have a weird feeling Belichick coaches the Giants and McDaniels coaches the Pats as well. The Big job this offseason will be Oakland Raiders. My guess is the Raiders end up with a big name offensive coach.
Mike in Horseheads Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Is BB a free agent after this year?

What makes you both think BB would leave the Patriots and Robert Kraft for the Giants? Has this been rumored? QB coach to head coach would be quite the promotion for Leftwich. Idk if he is ready for that.

Maybe the tabloid rumors of the rift between Brady and Belichick are getting to me. But I did find it odd they shipped Jimmy G to Brady's hometown team for a pretty cheap price. Almost trying to piss Brady off.
/dev/null Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 AFC NY Jets Cincinnati Cleveland (allows Hue Jackson to walk to Cincy with his 1-31 record and whatever dignity he has left) Indianapolis NFC NY Giants Detroit Chicago Tampa Arizona Gase survives another year in Miami Elways gives Joseph a Mulligan Jerrah grants Garrett a reprieve Gruden stays in the booth Belicheat isn't going anywhere as long as Brady sticks around Surprise opening: if Pittsburgh wins the Super Bowl, Big Ben retires and Tomlin rides out a winner
dpberr Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 (edited) I'd add the Jets, Broncos, Raiders and my darkhorse pick, the Packers. I think McCarthy has run his course in Green Bay and Elway will get a "name" this offseason. Edited December 26, 2017 by dpberr

ghostwriter Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 The list of potential HCs is hideous, makes me much happier knowing we have McD.

From this past summer: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000816691/article/bruce-arians-byron-leftwich-has-future-as-head-coach
RiotAct Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 I had no clue Byron Leftwich was still in the league in ANY capacity!
