I thought it could've actually been a series. Only thing I found a little dissapointing was what was in the gorge, but otherwise pretty original story 1 Quote
Augie Posted February 20 Posted February 20 It took the third season of Reacher coming out for me to realize I hadn’t watched season 2. It’s like finding a $20 bill in your pocket in college! 1 Quote

Set in the mid 1800's in the Utah territory it's a dark and violent take on the three way conflict that took place between the natives, the Mormons and the US government. While it's vicious and depressing and makes you want to punch 100 people in the face, I still thought it was a pretty damned good watch. I am through episode 4, and it's just a wild show......the ease that every character has with killing another human is remarkable..... the American West at that time was a real bloodbath. 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted February 23 Posted February 23 I finished watching Beast Games with my kids on Amazon and thoroughly enjoyed it! 2 Quote
nemhoff Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Wife and I recently watched “the Recruit” on Netflix. I am sure it is in the 90 pages of this thread somewhere. Good show, both seasons were good. Quote
Augie Posted March 24 Posted March 24 We started watching “Running Point” with Kate Hudson last night. It’s loosely based on Jennie Buss running the Lakers. Funny stuff once you get what’s going on. We would have finished the first season if it hadn’t gotten late. I think we maybe saw 6-7 of 10 season one episodes. I’m reading there will be a season 2. Quote
Special K Posted Tuesday at 04:04 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:04 AM (edited) Anyone watching Adolescence on Netflix?? Its only 4 episodes, and I have watched 3 so far, and it is really good. It's about a 13 year old boy who is accused of Murder, and it is shot in a unique style....each episode is a one scene, continuous-action shot from start to finish. Really good acting, especially by the 13 year old kid....episode three was the best episode so far......a really gripping drama, IMO. I also watched the documentary "The Search for Instagram's Biggest Con-Artist". Basically, this woman faked having a malignant brain tumor, said she was told she had six months to live, but was still alive 5 years later because of eating all natural foods. She built a following, and created a monetized brand by deceiving people who had Cancer, and when she was proven to be a fraud, became the most hated woman in Australia......a truly vile person, but a really crazy story. I'm yet to watch it but my son has seen every episode and he says it's brilliant. Story, acting and shooting. Stephen Graham is fantastic in everything he's been in so the acting being top notch isn't a surprise. They've agreed for it to be shown in secondary schools over here as an educational tool. Steptide Posted Tuesday at 11:54 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:54 PM I'm very surprised to come here and not see a long discussion regarding severance. I feel like that's the most talked about show in the last few months. I get some people couldn't get into it, but for those of us that love it, well, what an ending to season 2 1 Quote

Just started. i thought it was a big slow at first but seems to be picking up. I’m up to the part where the psychologist seems Jamie in jail. I don’t have energy for tonight to finish it…. Also great for discussion. I don't remember talking as much about a show week to week with coworkers since maybe Lost. However I'm also worried some of this won't really lead to anything cohesive like Lost as well. Quote

Ya, that's my worry as well, but hopefully since it's not a major network show, they have a plan in mind. I loved lost also but with that show I feel like they gave us so many questions, that it was just impossible to answer them all. Severance has seemed to stay on course a bit more than lost did. Guess we'll see 1 Quote

Made it through middle of season 4, and have gotten pretty tired of the twists. Not sure I can finish it! Quote

I lost interest but loved the nature scenes, so I’d stop and watch just a bit once in a while when it was on. I’d just watch a few minutes of nature and wonder “how the hell has this happened with these people?” Every time! 😂 Quote
