The Most Corrupt States In America [Infographic]

A new report from the University of Chicago has shed light on the U.S. cities and states with the most public-sector corruption. Co-authored by UIC professor and political advisor Dick Simpson, the report is based on an analysis of public corruption statistics released by the U.S. Department of Justice. Across all states and Federal Judicial Districts in the United States, there have been 19,634 public corruption convictions over the past ten years. In 2018 alone, 695 public official, federal employees and government contractors were convicted of public corruption.

The research found that Chicago remains the most corrupt city in the United States with the Illinois-Northern Judicial District recording 1,750 public corruption convictions from 1976 to 2018. It was followed by Los Angeles with 1,547 and New York's Southern Judicial District with 1,360. The data also highlights the extent of the problem across all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Illinois is the second-most corrupt state in the nation, according to the University of Illinois-Chicago. And corruption costs the state economy at least $550 million per year. But the size and scope of government corruption is nothing new for Illinoisans.

What will they have if they can't push their Trump-hate narrative 24/7 once he is out of office?

Sucking Biden's ass 24/7 should be good for a few thousand people. Probably more than they get now. But you know as well as me that they would still talk about Trump 90% of the time.

Just think of all those airport TV's across the country that MUST be tuned to CNN with no one watching them now.

If that isn't the creepiest comment ever on here, I don't know what is. ?

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy declined to weigh in Wednesday on a baseless conspiracy theory being promoted by President Trump, saying he did not serve with the former congressman whom the president has falsely linked to the death of a staff member.

McCarthy (Calif.), the chamber’s top Republican, was asked about the president’s claims hours after Trump’s latest attack on MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, a former Republican congressman from Florida who retired from politics in 2001.

“I was not here with Joe Scarborough. I don’t quite know about the subject itself,” McCarthy, who was first elected in 2006, said at a news conference. He was asked whether he agreed with a Wall Street Journal editorial that said Trump was “debasing his office” with his claims. McCarthy indicated that he had not read the editorial.

The sidestep came as many of Trump’s fellow Republicans sought to avoid commenting on his calls to reopen the “cold case” of Lori Klausutis, who worked in Scarborough’s Florida office and died in 2001 at age 28.

There were some exceptions, including Rep. Liz Cheney (Wyo.), who told reporters after the news conference that Trump should stop talking about Scarborough, and Sen. Mitt Romney (Utah), who tweeted “enough already” after Trump’s latest attack.

“I do think the president should stop tweeting about Joe Scarborough,” Cheney, the No. 3 Republican in the House, said after approaching two reporters unprompted. “We’re in the middle of a pandemic. He’s the commander in chief of this nation. And it’s causing great pain to the family of the young woman who died.”

Earlier Wednesday, Romney expressed his sympathy for Klausutis’s widower, Timothy J. Klausutis.

That b.itch is a real life Chucky doll.

She is the person she portrayed on Seinfeld, an angry, ugly, vindictive B word.

P.S. I just searched Youtube for some Seinfeld/Griffin clips "Seinfeld Kathy Griffin"...the top clip is one somebody filmed pff their TV screen (and doesn't;t mention KG in the title), after that it's either apologetic and "nice" videos referencing that episode, or official clips from other episodes.

It's odd.

C'mon we have 5 years till Trump is done here, they might try a completely new angle. Of course the strongest indication of future behavior is past behavior so you are most likely right
