Seems like a clear violation by Pack of a rule, the consequence of which is that the player gets released. So why is it “not gonna happen”? Because the league approved him being placed on IR. 1
The Wiz Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 So correct me if I'm wrong, if they release him couldn't Rodgers just re-sign with gb?

I did not intend to mislead anyone the way ESPN headlines did. it was kind of misleading, I even had to take a look and soon found that it was referring to releasing him from IR. honest mistake. ignore the board patrol, some tend to be sensitive to stepping on their (duplicate thread) toes when they have already posted the article. 1
Lenigmusx Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Mods feel free to merge this with the other AR thread sorry for the redundancy.
MJS Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 You mean to tell me that an elite, Superbowl winning, possibly hall of fame QB would make the Bills a contender?! You don't say ... 1

JMF2006 Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Will the league punish the Pack? I think it will be the usual forfeit a draft pick scenario. AR is not going anywhere but on vacation and he won't be released.

JMF2006 Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 BTW the title should read " could be released " not " should"

Lenigmusx Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 (edited) Deleting a thread is above my pay grade. There is validity in the discussion here. If it needs to be merge I'm down with that. On Rodgers and league IR approval. Isn't a new physical required? I don't know all the ins and outs but some protocol must be required. One would think minimally a fine or suspension is in order. Doc Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Looks like the league already signed off on it. At worst they’ll cancel the IR designation and make them put him back on the roster. He is not getting released.
MDH Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 This is a problem with the league. Rules should be uniformly enforced, no matter what the franchise or who the player. Picking and choosing when to enforce rules is a bunch of BS and this lack of consistency with disciplinary action is one of the things that's pissing fans off these days. 1
