I also recall Clay not being sound enough to practice much, Benjamins surgery, Zay and really nothing else also of NFL quality. Fix the O-line first I rather see Brandon Reilly or some undrafted guy play before I worry about having to fix the receiving core. It won't matter much who is at WR if the pass blocking is poor and the QB is getting killed. Edited March 27, 2018 by billieve420

Or Eric mounds? ??♂️
TheFunPolice Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 (edited) Tell that to the window... One of them busted, and it wasn't Zay! Edited March 27, 2018 by TheFunPolice

Yeah I remember that game his rookie year when he caught for like 250 yards in one game. Everyone called him a bust. And in that second year when he had like 5 150 yard games. What a bust. 1 minute ago, ngbills said: Yeah I remember that game his rookie year when he caught for like 250 yards in one game. Everyone called him a bust. greeneblitz Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Dumb, most wrs take a year or so to adjust to the NFL , unlike other positions most wrs get by in college on talent alone.
Bookie Man Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 He had a decent stretch iirc. I still have hope for him. The dude caught everything thrown his way at ECU. Not writing him off yet. Hoping to see at least 60-70 catches from him next season.
ngbills Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 One a positive note - look at the guys picked ahead of Zay. I think Davis, Williams and Ross were all top 10 picks and did not do jack.
John from Riverside Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 You know leaving last year I was not concerned about Zay at all......but I honestly did not realize that he had personal demons to go along with the pressures of being an NFL rookie either. Here is to Zay have the grit to finish the final round

LedyardCTbillsfan Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 WR is one of the hardest, if not the hardest positions to adjust to in the NFL, I would give it another season before the bust label is put on him. However, we did the say the same thing with Sammy and look what happened to him
Jamie Muellers Ghost Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 The Jets game always gives me hope of course the recent incident took a lot of that away. I'm hoping he does bounce back because I was a proponent of him being picked. If not next in line.

How in the heck is our new QB going to develop if hes' throwing to slow short guys that can't catch the freakin' football? Answer: He ain't. And yes, Zay is a BUST TFN. baskingridgebillsfan Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 he has as bad of a rookie year that you could possible have. It was a surprise when he caught the ball, tell the truth every time the ball came his way you expected the worse. Let's see what year two brings. I hope they play him a ton in the early exhibition games so we get a read on him

Epstein's Mother Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 So you're saying he wasn't very good this year? That's a hot take.
Call_Of_Ktulu Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 It used to take WR 3 years before they start to put up good numbers. Their are some all time great WR's that disprove this but most WR's need 3 years.
