Billsfan1972 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Great first half and then again a terrible second half. Dennison and McDermott seem clueless after halftime and refused to continue with what's working and what is a lopsided game turn it into a nail biter. 2 1
GETTOTHE50 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 lol prevent offense. they messed up after every timeout today. 1
BillsFan130 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Started off ok in the 2nd half but then once they got the ball back up 24 to 6 on their 6 yard line, they played it way too conservative for my liking. Not to say they should be reckless but just throw in a play action here and there
Jackington Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 The run game was dead in the 2nd half... Hated the conservative calls, but they did win
Happy Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Hope McDermott starts to see the merits of not taking the pedal off the metal. I'd like him to be more like Sean Payton in that regard.
skibum Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 I remember Dennis Miller using "Prevent Offense" to describe the scheme of some team that was getting clobbered during his brief tenure on MNF. He was pretty funny; too bad he became a neocon knob.
Sweats Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Its almost like they lose their playbooks in the 2nd half and figure they'll just run, run, run, punt and hope to squeak out a win.
RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Tyrod threw deep to Zay at least once, and threw deep to Clay on 4th down... Everyone is complaining about the conservative calls inside the 10 as if that was the whole half. It was not. Some things didn't work out. It happens. 1
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 3 points in the second half. pretty piss poor and not going to get it done next week. fortunately the defense came up big a few times, bailed their ass out.

And hit Zay in the hands once again with no catch, according to announcer he has highest drop rate in NFL.

Most pro coaches get conservative in the second half when they have a big lead. It's not unusual and it worked.
Best Player Available Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 I don't think the rookie HC and his staff have learned how too go for the jugular. Solid first half then they coach not to lose. McD needs to go for it. His QB, running back. and TE were all playing really well in the first half. Then they bit the brakes it seemed in the second half.
unclepete Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Did the same against KC. But folks blame Tyrod for not putting up numbers.
Billsfan1972 Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 Very hard to watch and hasn't improved all year.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Another hater. not happy with a win, not happy with meaningful football in week 15.
Woodman19 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 When you are up multiple scores with a turnover prone QB, just eating the clock and making them go the entire length of the field makes sense. The worst thing we could have done was turn the ball over early in drives setting up Miami deep in our own end.

Zay had a bad drop and Tyrod missed Clay deep. If either of those plays work out the perception is different.

Gotta have a guy you can completely trust throwing the ball. McDermott clearly doesn't trust Tyrod 1
