Just image the field conditions if there is a game on natural turf in the rain on a Saturday and then an NFL game 24 hours later.

Beer me.

I'm just trying to imagine the UB Bulls filling a 65,000 seat stadium.  Considering they can't fill 29,000 seats without giving away tickets.

Cousins does seem to be the more complete quarterback. However, it is a bit far-fetched that the Bills will make a play for him. Buffalo faces a tighter salary cap situation for 2018. This season, the team’s total cap allocations is just over $142 million with 57 players signed. Next year, The Bills are already at $136 million with respect to total cap allocation with only 33 players signed.

Cousins will definitely come in with a higher price tag than Taylor, even if the bills buy-out their quarterback at the end of this season. In addition, the team will most likely look to add some skill to the wide receiver position in the offseason. The team will need to earmark some money to develop the offensive side of the ball.

Buffalo BillsWhy it could work

Tyrod Taylor's future with the team appears shaky at best, which will put the Bills in the market for a quarterback. Offensive coordinator Rick Dennison has ties to former Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, who remains one of Cousins' top advocates. Dennison was offensive coordinator under Shanahan from 2006 to '08. Of course, the Kyle Shanahan connection matters most, and that is not present in Buffalo. But with the Bills showing little interest in Taylor, they are going to need QB help one way or another.

Why it couldn't work

With a new coach and GM, the Bills might want to start fresh with their own quarterback, not with a veteran from another team. That could involve drafting a quarterback to compete with Nathan Peterman, Taylor is another consideration, although the team's decision to bench him probably tipped the Bills' hand.

If you remember i stated cousins has ties to wny and know you know the ties.  Dennison.  I stated if the bills sign cousins Dennison stays as oc.  Connecting the dots.

UB is in the process of building a Field House outside of the north endzone of their stadium.

Not only that, but as others have mentioned the real turf as well as UB hardly being able to sell out a phone booth.

But, as long as their are posters like Happy Days in this thread, these posts will continue.

It’s actually 67,500, but they are going to put a tarp over 67,000 for UB games (think Jax) making it a VERY hot ticket! Only the cool kids get a seat!

Here’s some dot connecting.....

Free agency doesn’t begin until March.

Coordinators are fired and hired LONG before that.

Wow— you gotta mean a trade for cousins? How would that even work? He would have to agree to come here and sign a long term deal.

So what do you give up for a guy that are sure to let walk. They aren’t paying the $34 +/- mil for next year.

....paying Cousins would be greater extortion than The Cutlet with da Bears (54 mil) or Flacco with the Ravens (52 mil).....crazy money out of desperation for mediocrity as Cousins would be.....let Boy Danny tag him again for 34 mil......God NO in Bflo............

Personally I don’t like natural turf in cold weather environments.

The field gets chewed up and looks ratty.

I don’t care about the looks (in fact I kind of like that it looks like a football field), but I question the footing. It could be an advantage, or just suck for everybody.

Why would the stadium only hold 67,000?

And what does east of Buffalo mean? What's east of Buffalo?

Well, just about every suburb except the Tonawandas and Evans and Angola are "east" of Buffalo, from Amherst/Clarence which are northeast to Hamburg/OP which are SE.  Cheektowaga, Lancaster, and Elma are all basically east.  Even Alden.
