wppete Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Since the benching of Tyrod a few weeks back there has been discussion online and on networks that the Bills can trade Tyrod this offseason. If possible what would the value for Tyrod be? What can we get in return for Tyrod in a trade? A 4th round pick for a potential starting QB?

FearLess Price Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 It depends which tyrod shows up in his last start. If he was benched after the cheifs game we mightve got a 4th. After the pats massacre idk, hes wild inconsistent so lets see how it plays out.
The Now Moment Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Before this season he definitely had some value. After the crap year he's had and multiple dud performances...I don't know. Maybe some team will give up a late pick but I highly doubt it after he's continued to put up poor performances this year.

Lfod Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 (edited) If the QB starved league thinks hes an unturned stone then we might walk away with something. I don't think people are trading for a borderline starter Fitz type back up that you think you can get more out of then the last guy. I like Tyrod but I'm really starting to doubt he's anything but a back up next year. Desperation and over confidence in coaching ability is what we are hoping to bank on here. I think he's been exposed this year. With statements like "make him be a QB to beat him" can't look good on your resume. It doesn't look good around the league when that's what multiple people say about you. Edited December 12, 2017 by Lfod
ProcessTheTrust Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 A team that is a QB away from at least being a sure WC team doesn't see him as the guy. Who else will? He's on his way back to backing up a legit starter. His ceiling has been exposed for everyone to see.

No way Buffalo gets anything in return for Tyrod. They will release him and he will likely be a backup somewhere. 1
Call_Of_Ktulu Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I would rather have the cap space to go out and sign players. We are going to get nothing for Taylor, he needs to be released. 1
Royale with Cheese Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I think realistically, a 5th would be the highest.
Shaw66 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I think they could get something for him. There will be some teams out there who need a QB and who will think they can shape an offense around him. I don't know what they can get - I'd guess maybe a third or fourth.
Bills Pimpin' Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 My guess is a back up in Seattle after being released. 1

Bills have a 3 day window to trade him before they would be on the hook for the sign bonus and new next year contract would take effect. The 3 days start on first day of league year at 4 pm on March 14, 2018. Maybe they trade Tyrod to Redskins for Cousins in exchange for Redskins not matching the Bills offer to Cousins on transition or franchise tag they put on Cousins after this season. If they can reach a deal with Cousins during the 3 day window. Or not sure if allowed(I doubt it) if Bills can negotiate with Cousins before league year starts to gauge if he would sign or not then make the trade contingent on him actually signing during that 3 day window. nedboy7 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I think tyrod will start next year somewhere and do better than the qb we have in place.
Gugny Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Starlin Castro and two low-level prospects. 2 2
BisonMan Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 We'll have to release him. His contract for next year is waaaay to high for a backup or marginal starter in this league. I think his salary with roster and signing bonus remaining is ~$17M. Nobody will take his contract and give the Bills a draft pick. Anybody could sign him for less than that once he becomes a UFA.
