17 Josh Allen Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 (edited) Let’s see pats lose to Steelers and then the Bills They still would be at 10 wins. The Bills could get to 10 wins. So if the jets some how beat the pats on the last game of the year. Both the Pats and Bills end up with 10 wins. Who wins the division if that happens. Edited December 12, 2017 by Thurmanator 12074

17 Josh Allen Posted December 12, 2017 Author Posted December 12, 2017 I’m just wondering if that we’re to happen and the Bills and pats each end up 10-6 who would win the division.
PolishDave Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 This thread would be better if the theme song for Mission Impossible was playing quietly in the background. Duh duh da duh duh 1
DC Tom Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Usually the "We're not mathematically out of it" posts start at the end of October and refer to the playoffs, not in mid-December referring to winning the division. So this is actually a refreshing change. 7
MarlinTheMagician Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Bryce Petty couldn't beat Pats if they were allowed only 7 defenders. What is answer to OP's Q though?

IF the Bills won out (against Miami, NE, and Miami) AND the Pats lose out (to Pitt, Buf, NYJ) Each team would be 10-6 Tie break scenarios for division lead would be: 1. Head to head: this would be a push at one game a piece 2. Best won/loss percentage in the division: with the above scenario, the Pats would be 3-3 in the division (50%) and the Bills would be 4-2 in the division (66.66%) Bills would win the AFC East. 17 Josh Allen Posted December 12, 2017 Author Posted December 12, 2017 Thank you for that. I just was wondering how that would play out. It’s about a 1 and 100 shot. But with the way this crazy year has went you never know.
Scott7975 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Can we beat the Dolphins first? Just sayin...
Domdab99 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 (edited) yeah, and if I won the lottery I could marry a supermodel. Edited December 12, 2017 by Domdab99 1
quinnearlysghost88 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Let's see if Joe Webb III can sit back on the bench before we start sewing our super bowl banner.
Nick the Greek Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Sooo.. whats more likely to happen. the Bills win the rest of their games OR The Pats lose the rest of theirs. are we honestly debating his? We all know neither is gonna happen. Why even debate this?? Insanity!!

17 Josh Allen Posted December 12, 2017 Author Posted December 12, 2017 (edited) Brady goes down and is injured in the steelers game. Then he is out for the year. Now the Bills beat the Pats. Now the pats a reeling losing 3 in a row. Don’t think for a minute this can’t happen. Look at the eagles. They lost the QB for the year. Brady has a sore foot tendon. That thing is ready to snap. BigDingus Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I feel like there are going to be a LOT of raging people after next Sunday... with talk about winning the division popping up (even as a hypothetical), you're just being set up for massive disappointment. The Patriots are the exact opposite of choke artists. If this were the Bills we were talking about who were currently at 10-3 & the Patriots were at 7-6, then sure, I could see them choking the last 3 games & losing the division. But we're talking about the f'ing Patriots! They've won 5 Super Bowls & been to 7 under Brady & Belichick...all in the era of Free Agency! Even if they were on the ropes, they would gut out the necessary wins. The Bills on the other hand get the bottom yanked out from under them all the time...so yeah, I could see them choking away a division lead late in the season. 1
loedward22 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 The Dolphins win just significantly increased the chance of us going to NE for the 1st round
