Bills win first and foremost but man we got lucky on dat 2 pointer! I thought the game was over so I was gonna shut the tv off in disgust but then saw that they brought it back for a pick penalty which I thought was a good call but than saw dat it was within yd of the line of scrimmage like the announcer mentioned. We got a very lucky break they’re but who cares since we won and now only a game out of the playoffs!!!

Initially I thought it was a horrible call then

I have watched both replays a couple times.  it was more clear on the XP but the Ball is snapped on the 2 yard line, the contact takes place at the Goalline (that is two yards)

It was the same on the TD (looked closer to three yards on that contact, but I admit really hard to see for sure on that one)

We had our share of luck yesterday. That’s good because we can all name many games where we were unlucky.

I think, as a whole, the Bills were the better team yesterday so the results were justified.

I don't see us making the playoffs but I am impressed with how McD has built this team. I have a feeling that it's only going to get better. I expect a rookie HC to make a few mistakes which McD has but I think he will be a good HC.

It was not luck. It was the right call.  It's just too bad the Bills get them so rarely.

No doubt it was the right call but the refs seem to let the boys play yesterday. Was there ever a game in Bills history with so few flags? I’m sure there were a lot of fouls the refs turned a blind eye to.

Not only the right call: the Colts don’t score on that play without the illegal block.  So spare me the “we were lucky” nonsense.  (I don’t mean you.)

It was an illegal pick. The Colt player made no attempt to get open, he only illegally blocked our player. It was the right call.

Right call that's not often called. Benjamin clearly interfered with late in the game wasn't called. It's worth noting that we consistently get screwed by the refs and for once a call at a critical point in the game went our way.

They are allowed to block though (as long as it is within 1 yard of LOS) it was not

Just like Richie's on the final TD?

Good point Incognito has been called for holding on similar pancake blocks. Not sure why that is holding as he just pushes him from side and the guy falls. I guess the snow causing players to slide slip may have been a factor in those not being called holding in that game as there seemed to be a lot like that let go.

That was NOT holding on Richie! Come on man. His hand were inside the shoulder pads and the defender never made a move to the outside.

His left hand was outside the LBers right shoulder and there was a turn, lets not get all homerish now, Likely would never get called but was a hold

I am talking the Hold on the LBer after the combo block

That is where this rule change(which I believe was put in to make Pats pick plays legal but that is another thread) goes off the rails. When it is a pass play then no WR should be able to pick anywhere. On a run play yes absolutely WR can block any witch way they need to.

I get it and yes it was put in to make the Patriots rubs more clarified, but yep allows blocking on a pass play within one yard.  Doesn't matter both these picks were outside 1 yard

I don't have it recorded but I would love to see it again. I thought I remember the contact being made at the goal line. That's 2 yards. Is it possible it only looked like 1 yard because the receivers were lined up off sides (people were off sides all day)? That could have made it look like only 1 yard. And maybe that's why they had to have a discussion before calling it. Just wish I could see it again. Somebody post it, LOL.

Also worth mentioning, if the player continued to block beyond 1 yard before the pass it's also illegal even if the contact was made inside the 1 yard.
