That's not the point he was making.   He was talking about the actual equipment and that in his observations that players weren't slipping all around like in past years.

At the game, we noticed that the Bills had several guys running around with cleat-cleaning pads along the sideline, while the Colts didn't really seem to be doing much equipment upkeep.
