Ballin' with Jimmy G on the scene.

Pretty wild how he always gets up now after someone hits him.

He's having a career year for sure. Just think, had Hoyer and Beathard throwing the ball to him most of the year. So don't think it's purely about QB play. He earned the nickname "Glass" here for a valid reason.

Add in his drops and time away from the team, it's a wonder he could never get in sync with his QB here.

Great guy though, glad for him. Just wish he would have "Flashed" here.

Yes, it’s about QB play and opportunity.  He became the #1 WR when Garçon got hurt and now has Garrapolo throwing to him. His stats have improved dramatically in the last month.  He has 28 receptions for about 400 yds in the last 4 games.

Goodwin was ALWAYS hurt.  Prior to last year he didn't even play in 24 out of 48 games.  Last year he played way more than he had in any other season and he got better while doing it.  Goodwin still is what he is.  He could never get off a jam so if you are a running team with 2TE and 2WR packages and an oline that can't keep anyone off the QB chances are he's not going to have time to get open.  If you run a spread offense and move him around, keep him from getting jamed he is fast as hell and can catch the ball.  Let's not kid ourselves though, Goodwin wouldn't be doing what he's doing in SF here.  This offense, as it is being run, needs a healthy KB.  A healthy Clay and a healthy McCoy.

If you've seen him this year he is running every route on the route tree, getting off the press with ease because guys are scared of his speed. He really put it all together this year, seriously. Just watch at .20  how he releases off the line unable to get pressed and then stems his route right away. Just beautiful.  He looks like a complete receiever

Don't we still have the same strength and conditioning coaches as before, or maybe it's the same athletic training staff (I think those are two separate things)? I feel like chronic injuries are a big thing here and we haven't addressed it adequately.
