Obviously they were planning for where they would get the ball back for the next possession, which is quite a bit different if the Colts are punting from the 10 or the 41.   He thought there was enough time left to play for field position for a final drive and he was right.   Any chance to win ends if they don't convert the 4th and 1, which was a dicey proposition in the snow.

Tell me why that ends the game?

Why cant you understand that the Colts plays on their own 10 play more conservative than playing at their own 40? Gore had almost as many yards as Shady.

Uh what? You just said a couple runs and they’d be in field goal range, now you are saying they wouldn’t have done that from the 41?

Considering the weather, I don't think that call was as egregious as some are making it out to be. The decision to let Webb throw the ball with only a minute left was far worse.

Agreed, but that doesn't excuse that call.  It's still baffling to me what McDermott was thinking there.

Gotta understand - No matter what, there will be those who will never agree with what this guy or regime does.

It's a dumb call when you lose or it doesn't work out. Those are the rules. It worked out so good call to play it safe. I wanted to go for it but there was no guarantee either.

I don’t understand this thread. I didn’t like the call at the time, but it proved to be right call.

Certain "fans" don't care as much about the Bills winning games because they are more invested in looking for things to be angry about and then spam-posting trying justify why they are right.

Again, no one in this thread is upset that the Bills won. And when the Bills win that doesn’t mean you can’t be critical of a decision.

Does that mean McDermott was correct in letting Webb throw at their own 25? I mean they did win in the end, so it must be.

This is such a Promo response.

Don't worry MajBooby, I'm sure they'll lose again soon enough and you'll be free to piss and moan nonstop.

The outcome of the game was the difference.
