Here is some info from Walter football:

Missouri_logo.gif Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
Height: 6-4. Weight: 225.
Projected 40 Time: 4.79.
Projected Round (2018): 2-4.

12/7/17: Lock set the SEC single-season record for touchdown passes with 43. He went on a tear in the last half of 2017 to lead Missouri to six straight wins after a 1-5 start. Lock has completed 58 percent of his passes this year for 3,695 yards with 43 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Lock is a gunslinger-style quarterback who needs to improve his accuracy for the NFL. He has a big arm with the ability to throw any pass, but he needs to improve his accuracy, field vision, and the speed at which he works through progressions. He can be prone to overthrows, plus can put too much heat on some passes. Lock has good size and can fit the pass into tight windows. He throws the ball well downfield and shows some timing and anticipation. Lock does have the propensity to force throws to covered wideouts as he can trust his arm too much to beat tight coverage. Lock could stand to make improvements before going to the NFL, and improving as a senior might be his best route toward having a good pro career and going higher in his draft.

I'm curious myself.  This morning I heard Mel Kiper (OK, it's only him, but still . . .) say the 5 potential 1st Round QB's for this year's draft are Rosen, Darnold, Allen, Mayfield, and . . . Drew Lock.  No mention of Mason Rudolph from OSU, who I thought was a scout's favorite/hot prospect type.

Drew Lock is from Lees Summit, Missouri. I happen to live in Lee's Summit and work for the school district that he attended. He is from a top notch family, played in a great HS football program. He has lots of moxie and talent. Recently I spoke with someone that is good friends with his family. They mentioned that the Bills scouts had been at Mizzou practice and inquiring about him. He has come on strong to get Mizzou bowl eligible.

While I am not against taking more then one qb in this draft is it too much to ask to have a qb that is actually acccurate without having to work at it first?  We have lived with too many of those

No thank you.

It's one thing if you have a solid QB in place and are looking to spend a mid-round pick on a guy who might be able to develop in 3 years.  So San Diego, Pittsburgh, NE, etc., have at him.   If you're the Bills, you need a guy who is much closer to NFL ready.

A QB with accuracy issues in college rarely improve on them in the NFL.

Go find video of the Mizzou/Arkansas game. The kid is a gamer. Mizzou is not great right now but the kid was part of them getting to 7-5. He's tough. Don't know if I would worry about a pro style offense with him. I don't believe his current situation has made him look better than he is.

He has a tremendous arm. Probably the best of this draft class. Issue is accuracy.... Terrible completion percentage. Throws an amazing seam route. Could be a Brett Farve type.

he's a first round Lock!

Kind of reminds of someone we drafted called EJ!

Not at all. EJ never had the arm that Lock had. Lock has a tremendous deep ball. Threw more deep balls than anyone in college football. Manuel was always safe with the football at college. Just a glorified game manager... He was a winner. Manuels numbers never came close to Locks.

If you want to compare Lock to anyone on the Bills then I would say he has Fitzpatrick's gun slinger mentality with a much better arm and more accurate down field

I watched some of his game vs Arkansas. I saw a lot of passes 25+ yards downfield. I wonder if that is part of the story in his low completion percentage. You have to be impressed with 43 TDs, and his numbers have gotten significantly better each year.
