Frez Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Bears signed Fred Miller, does this take them out of the LJ Shelton sweepstakes? The Chicago Bears continue to bolster their offense. FOXSports.com has learned the Bears came to an agreement Monday on a five-year deal with former Titans offensive lineman Fred Miller. The addition of Miller, who will start at right tackle, allowed the Bears to move last year's big free-agent pickup, John Tait, to left tackle. Earlier in free agency, the Bears added WR Muhsin Muhammad. This, with the signing of Miller, shows the Bears are trying to upgrade their offense as much as they can for young quarterback Rex Grossman.
RVJ Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Maybe they won't give the Cards a draft pick anymore. But if he is released outright they might grab him. In fact if he is released the Bears are his first choice before Buffalo if they still want him.
