Pine Barrens Mafia Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Anyone else listening online getting a whole bunch of commercials where there shouldn't be any?
Andrew Son Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 I find more commercials to be an improvement 2 1
YoloinOhio Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 (edited) Yep. Not listening now but was this morning via the app and it was happening then. Also, they consistently (as in all the time) cut off the hosts as they go to ommetucal while they are still talking, to start the commercial. It’s a few seconds early but highly annoying. RyanC883 Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 happens down in Pittsburgh. Sports Radio is becoming 1 minute of sports, 5 minutes of CPAP machines and DraftKings.

YoloinOhio Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 I find it ironic that WGR runs so many commercials for Brylin about dealing with depression, and their spokesmen are Bills players.
BadLandsMeanie Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 I noticed that yesterday. During Eric Wood's segment it seemed like the ad break lasted almost ten minutes.
GRHater69 Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 I listen to their sister station WBEN sometimes. I heard that there was an electrical fire over the weekend in the studios and that some equipment may have been damaged and it's causing all the glitches.

It took me 15 minutes to get to work one time and I wanted to listen to WGR on the way there. I ended up getting what seemed like nearly the entire 15 minutes of commercials and didn't actually get to listen to anytbing until I pulled into my parking lot at work. bostonadguy Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 I listen in Boston and part of it is whether or not you are using wireless, especially if you are on a public access point. Every time you use wireless go out of range and but jump off the network and then it jumps you back on, it thinks you are starting a new stream and it serves you a pre-roll commercial.
PromoTheRobot Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 They insert different ads to what plays over the air. Takes advantage of a national audience. Anyway the ad insertion software is haywire.

Albwan Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 that station is really hard to listen to...then again, bills/sabres, gotta be a depressing job. I actually like the two morning guys, but man i get the feeling they really must hate having to try and figure out what to talk about
Chris66 Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Got to say I like Howard and Jeremy.. I wish Sal would be a little more edgy. He is always taking the high road. You would think he works for obd
